Wonderful staff, knowledgeable and helpful. Campsite was good, trails to museum and outdoor displays were convenient. Museum had good displays. Hoping for a movie about the area. Gifts and souvenir items were appropriate too.

Lovely small museum with beautiful pieces and history to learn. Outside super cool to learn more about Miwok traditions and see up close the grinding rocks! A nice place to visit if planning to do something after visiting the caverns which are down the road

Came here with our 3 kids (10, 11 and 13) during a road trip and had an amazing time. We lucked out and because it was a slow day and Ranger Mike was able to walk around with us. His passion and respect for the park and the Miwok people and culture was inspiring. We all learned so much and it will definitely be a memory that sticks with them. Definitely worthy of a detour from 49 - If you have time go get a burger after at the Sizemore Country Store.

Very beautiful historical park. There are nice walkways that taper into into a mile or so hike into the woods. If you want to take the trail, it goes in a loop. There are huge trees and a re-created village and the actual holes from grinding. If you are in the area, you must stop.
