Make a stop at this welcoming vineyard! I'm already planning a trip back just to experience more of Holly's Hill.

We stumbled across this vineyard on our way from Apple Hill to Grandma's in Somerset. It was the location and brewery (for my husband) that caught our attention. Unfortunately, it was only a quick stop for us. They were in the middle of a member's event but still made room for us. The view and setting are unbeatable, and the wine was delightful sitting under an oak tree while eating a pizza. My husband really enjoyed the IPA and also liked the porter. I can't wait to come back for a tasting to explore more of their wines.

Excellent Rhone-style wines, knowledgeable staff working the tasting room. Be sure to follow their website for special food pairing events. Tasting fee is very reasonable and is waived with purchase. Plenty of seating and the views are phenomenal! Highly recommend the rosé or the Petite Syrah/Syrah blend (but really all th wine was good).

I’ve been to quite a bit of wineries, and this is the only one where I didn’t dislike any of the wines. Something about the grapes or the way they grow them create a superb and unique flavor. The dessert wine is especially good. Will be back very soon. You won’t regret a visit.

My favorite Rhone varietal winery in El Dorado County. This winery is completely true to Rhone selections, from Grenache, Mourvedre and of course Syrah and their prized Viognier. There is no Cabernet or anything Bordeaux at this winery, just perfect Rhone selection with primarily estate grown fruit. They do source a bit of fruit around the region from time to time. Family owned and true to their hearts, which lies in South Eastern France (Rhone varietals). HH is a laid back and fun place, with great events and food by culinary enthusiasts and winemakers Josh and Carrie Bendick.

If you haven't given it a try yet, please do, especially if you are a Syrah or Mourvedre fan.

Awesome vineyard! The wine was great and I really enjoyed chatting with the lady pouring. Sounds like they have regular events and it’s so secluded for being so close to towns.
