I was hesitant because of the negative reviews but Sam was so super helpful and kind and hooked me up with a car much nicer than my own that made it hard to return it. No hidden charges and was very upfront and personable. I can’t speak for all the employees, a couple seemed short with folks when I returned the car, but Sam was stellar! 9/14/24 once again disappointed. Reserved a car for 1215pm, but the location closes at 12pm. How? With? Do better hertz!
The man that "helped" me pick up my car was rude, short, and dismissive. The first car reeked of cigarettes, and the second one did too and was filthy. He said "we don't have the detailing/cleaning machines at this location", and I was annoyed, so I just took a video as evidence that i picked it up that way and carried on.

Trying to run the show with one or two people is hard on the quality of service, retired people are usually not in a hurry and will tolerate a car in less than showroom condition. If that's the cost of keeping the location, we will not complain, but expect to wait. Pleasant people do their best to keep up.

I read the google reviews on this place and was so scared to come and get a rental car from here. I met Ryan and he helped me out from start to finish.
He smiled, he laughed, and had an amazing personality that anyone would enjoy. I could tell he was new because he did ask for help on the computer, but he is definitely going to be the positive person that turns this place around based off the reviews. I highly recommend this employee for the company and look forward to coming back for the great service that he provided for me and my family. Thank you for my Edge Ryan!

The people are nice. But over work and stressful environments…had to wait almost an hour to get my car. And they had to vacuum before I leave. So the car wasn’t ready. To return it you have to wait till they’re open. Because they don’t have drop off box. If there busy with other customers hold on. There is to much rate tape in this hertz location….i have been to other hertz and there a breeze. Will I rent in this location again not so…

Rented a car through Priceline I traveled from Ocala to this location for the representative to tell me that they do not have a car for me because they overbooked and forgot to take down their car available on Priceline. Unbelievable! I asked to speak to a manager and waited over an hour and no one helped me so I left I will never ever use this company ever again!

Was given a Chevy Malibu that smelt of smoke had nicotine stains inside the roof of the car it had spiders that I had to kill and when I called Hertz they told me to deal with it and then they want to charge me money for gas $26 that was not my fault they are no good people do not rent a car from them. That's why you're rated a three because you are liars

Well we rented a car and as we went to return it, the building was closed. They left a note on the door saying this location is now closed and to return the vehicle to this other location. Now this next location is an extra 1 hour drive one way. No phone call or email to give someone a heads up about this change. I fill that's very rude and unprofessional. This was the ocala location. So we returned it to the villages location and they were so rude as well. Lost our business from here on.
