The Hemingway Rum Distillery is a recommended stop while in Key West with a great staff who really make you feel like part of the experience of you are there for intelligent conversations and not just a free taste of Rum.

Excellent tour and fantastic tour guide - Edgar! Bahama Bob shared some of his many years of Rum distilling knowledge and Levon was super friendly and helped us bottle our own special bottle of Papa’s Pilar dark rum! 10 out of 10 recommend!

This was a really fun experience! We did the tour with Mark AKA "four" and he was great! He was very enthusiastic about the history here and how things were done. We bought a bottle of the distiller reserve there. When we got home I went to Total Wine and picked up a bottle of the flagship blonde because it was so good! Highly recommend doing the tour and/or the craft cocktail tour.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Sampled their rums, and they were all very good and smooth. I especially enjoyed the dark rum. It is exceptionally smooth and very favorable.
I would highly recommend visiting and sampling their excellent rums.

My husband and I popped in to the Hemingway Distillery out of curiosity on our first trip to Key West. Such a pleasant afternoon spent with our tour guide, Hurricane! She was excitedly passionate about telling Hemingway’s story through the Papa’s Pilar Rum brand. We had spent the morning at Hemingway’s house … this tour brought Hemingway’s life into a greater, vibrant, focus and was a great accompaniment. And we learned the rum making process, as well as tasted, and enjoyed the swanky vibe of Hemingway’s Social Club at the end of the tour. We walked away (ok, biked) with a new appreciation for the amazing, colorful history of Key West and some of its more famous inhabitants.

I took the Cocktail Class at Hemingway Rum Company tonight and it's one of my favorite experiences in Key West. Ashley, our instructor, perfectly balanced laid-back fun with well-informed professionalism. She just genuinely seemed like she wanted to be there with us and that's a quality worth its weight in... rum. Drinks were delicious and the tour of the distillery was informative. The whole experience was well worth the value.

Came on a recommendation from the bartender at our hotel, and very glad we did. We did the tour and tasting. Our tour guide - Mark (4) - was awesome and very knowledgeable. Definitely plan on visiting when you're in Key West.
