I really enjoyed it, I'm a talker and a fisherman, so I spent some time talking to the locals about fishing methods and the fish they are after. It's a nice walk out to the end. We didn't know what to expect. There is a $10 fee to park and $3 per person to go on the pier. More than worth it. Here are some pictures that I took today.

Glad to have back open. It has a snack bar. Then there is a bar that's seasonal in the middle at the beginning of pier. Very nice volunteers around. Lovely scenery.

There are nearly 28 miles of trails, crossing through nine ecosystems, in Gulf State Park. Each ecosystem contains a diversity of flora and fauna, making the trails ideal for nature enthusiasts. This pier was at sunset and we saw alligators along the trail.

It was a fun and educational experience for my 7-year-old grandson. We were both able to learn some fun and awesome facts about sea turtles.

What a well-kept facility! The parking cost is very reasonable, dare I say cheap. $3 for two hours is the minimum. The pier costs $4 per person to walk it, fishing from of it is more. The bathrooms are clean and well functioning. There is a bar you can sit and drink at without paying to walk the pier. The sites from the pier are great. You can see Gulf Shores public beach and buildings to the West. You can access the public beaches here, too. No pier access needed to go to the beach. You just have to pay to park.
