I live in Foley, a short distance from Gulf Shores, and never knew this little museum existed. I was looking on Google for things for couples to do in Gulf Shores and found this place. It was very well kept, and I found everything very informative. There's info about the first families of the Gulf Shores area, which I found very interesting. There's also lots of info on the hurricanes our area has had over the years. The admission is free, which is a fantastic plus.

Small - yet super informative museum. Plenty to look at, read, interact with and watch. There were two rooms where you could watch documentaries about the oil spill and Hurricane Ivan. Perfect place to spend 30ish min while learning about the area. Also free to enter! The garden in the back is really pretty too.

Very cute and well maintained museum. My 11&7 year olds both enjoyed it - as a homeschooling mom, I appreciated this quiet, free place to spend an hour and a half learning all we could while catching a break from the rain on vacation! Thank you for providing this treasure to the community! A very well maintained facility and super friendly ladies working inside. Be sure to catch the documentary that plays to appreciate the full impact of Hurricane Ivan!
