This company is not very customer service oriented. I was taught the customer is always right, and even though that is not always the case you should treat the customer in a respectful way. We relied on information from Groome via the website and when it turned out differently we were left stranded at the airport. The reservation specialist and the manager were very unapologetic and rude. They felt that since they offered us an alternative shuttle time, even though it was several hours later and not feasible for us to do, that no refund was due since we signed a contract. I understand contracts and I understand customer service, and sometimes you just need to do the right thing. I do not recommend using this service. There are more friendly and comfortable methods of travel available.

The Groome shuttle is very reliable however if you’re running even one minute late the bus is not waiting for you and you’ll have to wait for the next one. Some of the drivers are also rude on the AU route. Other than that it is an excellent service and always on time.

GROOME Transportation is my favorite way to travel from Opelika to the Atlanta Airport.
The drivers are always on time and they have never failed me. I highly suggest that you be on time for pick ups because they cannot wait due to being on a tight schedule. I respect their policy. The schedule is strict because they are following procedure. You cannot be upset with that. I have been using Groome over 5 years with a total of around 30 trips with them. The company is solid and reliable.

I am a regular user of Groome to get to Atlanta airport, usually for business travel. I find Groome to have a general disregard for the customer experience, choosing to have vans that are generally uncomfortable and cramped, and drivers who are relatively segregated and separated from the passengers with no intercom or speakers for announcements of important information. This was especially reminded to me recently when I traveled in the middle of a Saturday in June during summer heat and sun. The AC of the vehicle was out, and the passenger compartment was close to 90 degrees! It was near intolerable when all 9 passengers finally climbed in. Neither Groome nor the driver provided any warning that this was the case (which would have allowed me to make other arrangements), nor did anyone think to remedy the issue by, say, swapping to a vehicle that worked, which surely a company with a working fleet should or could do. The driver provided no options, consideration, or sympathy for the suffering passengers, demonstrating either his or his company’s disregard for passenger welfare. This may be no surprise considering the near monopoly that Groome has on the western approach to ATL. But I and my employer can seek to take our business elsewhere, risking thousands of monthly customers on that route. The basic necessities of decency and consideration suggest that this should be considered!!

Was super excited to book round trip transportation from Montgomery to Atlanta. I was disappointed to find out we had to stop in Opelika to pick up more passengers. Tia transferred to Opelika and then we had to unload everything to reload to another shuttle. Tia was great but the new driver, Oscar, was a little grumpy and was not pleased to see the luggage that needed to be moved over and left us to unload the luggage. Oscar may need to consider a new career path that is not in customer service.

My first time considering using this service. Be careful before you book. I cancelled 12 days before needing their services and there are NO REFUNDS only travel credit. Not pleased.

So convenient and no driving through Atlanta traffic. Delivery straight to your terminal a long with your luggage and no paying for parking. What's not to love?

Currently sitting in a Groome that has been waiting for 25+ minutes past the scheduled departure time from Auburn to the Atlanta airport. Every passenger was present and seated 5+ minutes before the departure time. After a while, I had to go into the office and ask for an explanation as people were starting to panic about missing their flight. The lady with the blonde hair who works in the Auburn Groome office could NOT have been more rude when I simply asked for the reason for the delay. My sister missed her Groome by one minute earlier this week and was told by the same Groome office that the shuttle could not wait ONE MINUTE. It turns out, we are waiting for one passenger who is stuck in traffic. Should have called an Uber.
