Helpful and friendly. Visited during the Caladium festival and they were running a video about the festival and caladiums which was very helpful. They also had the newspaper flyer that had info about the festival and a map of all the vendors. There is a $3 guidebook for the murals in town. The original artwork for the murals is in the room where they show the videos, so you can see them all in one place. Great little town!

The older lady who helped us was very, very nice! They have an entire room dedicated to the different murals around Lake Placid. At the same time, they have no other information on the other arts of Lake Placid -- nothing about the paintings of birds on plaques by Jayne Ford, nor the ceramic tiles with caladium leaves, nor any info on who is creating the painted trash cans. Neither could they get us on their WiFi network for us to research these things on our own. There is room for improvement, but they are definitely doing a great job here.

We visited specifically to see the murals and we were able to see all but 2!! What a great job was done from the paintings to the map and the explanation of each piece of art!! It was an adventure finding each one and touring the town at the same time!!
