Went to buy a lemon tree around 10:30. Had a couple different varieties.... Eureka and Meyer. A good portion of each already was blooming. Some had some lemons on them. Small line which went fairly quick. Staff were friendly. Take your time to look at the them. I noticed something was eating the leaves and I didn't want to take it home.

Wasn't actually plant shopping. I had an exchange in Home Depot which went perfectly. Store wasn't packed which was nice. I brought my dog along - this was a great opportunity to introduce her to more public places. She's a 70 lb dog very strong and very sweet dog. Twice around the garden center and she was ready for the main store. Everyone was so good to her and aside from needing to smell everything this was a great trip for her.
She didn't jump up on anyone (good girl). Thanks Home Depot for being dog friendly. It turned an errand into a fun experience.

Reason why the garden shop at Home Depot was not a higher rating because the selection of plants was not up to the standard that it should be. Plants we're still on the shipping carts and the plants were mixed up where it was hard to find certain plants. Also if you had a question or needed help I couldn't find anybody unless I would probably have cashier page them. I hope that things get more organized because I do enjoy going to Home Depot.
Also added when I was shopping on the inside when I ask for help on some items nobody seems knowledgeable enough and of course employees that should be in a section weren't. Selection was also not replenished had to settle on items that were not what I was looking for.

Just bought a riding lawn mower last week, customer service was best in class. They answered all my questions, and would like to give a special thanks to Michael in home in garden. He took the time to make sure everything was working properly, and helped to load it on the trailer, it was extremely hot, but he made sure to take his time. One of the best buying experiences I've ever had.

I'm a huge fan of Home Depot, especially at this time of year when all the beautiful spring flowers are in full bloom. It's fun to browse through their garden center and try to imagine I'm in my own secret garden. The choices are endless and spectacularly beautiful! I once spent an entire year going to classes on Tuesday evenings at another Home Depot until I had gone through every class they taught. I often tell people I'm a Home Depot graduate. I even got the orange apron (which they give to everyone who takes a class) to prove it.This particular Home Depot is a great place to shop. The employees are always nice and very accommodating to help you find that one tiny elusive piece you need to finish your project. It's easy to get in and out of and handicap accessible.

I was shopping in the garden Dept. I found the poinsettia plants that I wanted posted for $2.98 each. I took 4, all the same size from the rack with the $2.98 price posted at the top. Actually there were 2 racks with the same price. When I checked out they rang up at $4.98 each. Any store that I have ever had that happen to me in, just gave me the item for the posted price. Which is the law, I think. The girl at the register continued to give me one excuse after another why she couldn't sell the plants for the posted price. She made me so upset that I just said "forget it"!!!! I wish I had called for a manager. I won't be shopping at Home Depot as they don't seem to believe in keeping their customers happy!

I went to Home Depot to buy a riding lawn mower and couldn't get any assistance so I left and went to Lowe's and bought it within minutes. Top shelf service st Lowe's, THANKS!! I returned and bought a saw the same way, quick assistance to help me pick one, and I was off, great job Lowe's!

While you are picking out your plant or flower, keep in mind to not just look at the best foliage or buds, but do your diligence on examining it's root structure. I am particularly upset about the roses, while trying to transplant it and other flowers I found the roots to be of minimal existence if at all developed. Push the sides of pots, stiffer the better. Pick up the plants and examine the bottom, if roots are escaping it's a better buy. Good luck and happy planting!
