Simply beautiful walkway that gives a glimpse of Florida during the Age of Elegance. The walk circles Lake Mirror and is clearly a popular spot to walk, run, or simply enjoy nature- there were dozens of birds to observe, gardens, lakeside parks and pavilions, contemporary sculptures, and structures in a variety of architectural styles. Parking was easy. This is also a nice place to take your dog for a walk but be aware that not all of the contiguous parks and gardens are pet friendly.

Great place to come for a walk in the heart of downtown. Excellent stop if you've just moved to Lakeland or are just visiting. Hollis Garden which is along the promenade is also a lovely place to walk around. I don't tend to see swans here but there's plenty of ducks and other birds.
