The Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center is a fantastic place to visit! This free informational center is packed with interactive displays and tons of fascinating information about coral reefs, local wildlife, and the important work being done to protect and restore these vital ecosystems. It’s amazing to see how the center collaborates with key agencies and programs to drive these efforts.

Walking through the exhibits was an engaging and educational experience, with plenty of cool displays to explore. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or just curious about the underwater world, this center offers a wonderful opportunity to learn and be inspired. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

An amazing place to visit specially if you are with children. They are going to love it. Its free so no ticket required. Anyone can just walk-in. The weather at keys is quite unpredictable so we decided to visit discovery centre when it rains. And it rains cats and dogs. We spent almost hour and half there and enjoyed it fully.

This is definitely one our favorite places to visit in Key West. It’s free on Friday and Saturday, 9AM - 4PM. Donation is always welcome. Large parking lot is in the front. 1-2 hours is minimal.

The staff was very helpful and passionate to share anything about Florida eco system, as well as general Florida visiting tips. The space is divided into different sections, focusing on different themes, while being consistent about environmental protection education. Both my kids and I learned a lot about four diverse natural habitats within Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, from the interactive exhibitions. We had a great time here, Highly recommended.

Cute, free, AC’d place to learn about conservation efforts with interactive exhibits. Located between Truman waterfront park and Ft. Zach entrance. One of the team members taught about the shipwrecks laying in the waters outside of The Keys and gave the layout of the self guided museum.

Great spot to learn more about local ecosystem. My kids really enjoyed the interactive exhibits. Tons of great info presented in a cool way. Mrs. Emily hosted a field trip for our homeschool group, and it was awesome! Definitely recommend a visit, even for locals.

Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center is a great place to learn about marine sanctuaries - especially the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. The Center’s staff (government and volunteer) are very knowledgeable and ready to answer all questions. The static displays and an educational (and enjoyable) movie are all part of the experience. If you’re in the area I recommend stopping by.

This Eco-Discovery Center is informative, interactive, and fun....just don't expect kids to be too entertained. The information is as fun and playful as it can be, but it wasn't entertaining enough for my kids to last more than 15 minutes before they asked us to leave.

There plenty of parking, it's free on Fridays, and I had fun. I would come again by myself next time.
