I was just diagnosed with breast cancer. I did not know what to expect on my first first visit with Dr. Hussein. He was wonderful, was personable, reassuring, and explained what things would be happening next after explaining my MRI results. Staff was wonderful as well. Everyone made my visit easy and very stress reducing.

I would not recommend this facility to my friends. While in the waiting area, you listen for your name to be called, but only your last name is called. “Smith?” “Goldman?” “Willson?” Have the decency and courtesy to call us by our first, or both names. The treatment room consists of a large open room with several rows of recliner chairs that are so close to each other that they nearly touch. You can literally and easily reach over and touch the patient sitting beside you. You have no privacy to the needles you’re being stuck with or the medical conversations you have with the nurses. While I’m currently in remission and not currently receiving chemo treatments, there was a recent time when I did. Very frequently, the treatment room would be packed with patients, filling or near filling the recliners. That put stress on the nurses, who would often complain to me about how busy it is, much they have to work, how thankful they’ll be when their shift is over, etc. As a patient, I am fighting for my life, hopefully getting the medicine I need. I don’t need nurses who complain about their jobs. They should be tought to be caring, empathetic and understanding, and not to be disgruntled and bitter.

The BEST! Very knowledgeable and helpful. I met with Kyle today —- he’s right there on the top of my list with Dr Acevedo. Willing to help in any way to help with any medical situation. I’m very comfortable asking any questions and both Dr A and Kyle actually listen and try to solve problems. They make you feel comfortable !

Everyone was so helpful when I was there for an infusion. I knew from the moment I was put in a chair how long it was going to take and in the order it would happen. I felt very comfortable and the procedure was painless.

I also was asked by a volunteer if I wanted a drink, a snack or a warm blanket. Thank you so much for making it a stress free event!

It took us some time to get on to Dr Hussein’s office but since we did, we have found all of the staff from top to bottom or front to rear, totally committed to excellence and service to the patient. Well done during a difficult time for us all.

From the start we met Kash who went over necessary paperwork. She was so friendly and helpful. Next we met Leslie at the front desk… very welcoming and professional.
Registered nurse Kristen took the time to get to know my dad and walked us through how the procedure would work….such a pleasant personality.
Icing on the cake was when we met Dr. Kamath. He was very reassuring and answered all the questions we had with patience and grace.
All our worries have been put to rest after our visit to Florida Cancer Specialist.
We Highly recommend them.
