Using my husband‘s account, keep in mind we are both Bible majors with our Pastoral Leadership Associates Degrees and have an extensive background working in churches with children . We visited this church for the first time and we will not be attending again. The Bible is very clear on instructions for children. My husband and I have five children and as soon as we got there, the looks from the older staff looking at my tattoos, came across as extremely judgmental. Maybe look up the context of tattoos in the Bible before judging someone and making it obvious. Also saying that the Bible says you’re only to take communion if your life is right with the Lord, it’s completely falsified information . Are you forgetting Jesus shed his blood and crucified his flesh to save us from our sin because we are not perfect beings.
Further more from the very beginning your staff were very pushy about putting our children into Sunday school even after we declined a few times because at the end of the day, we do not know any of you. we ended up putting our twins in Sunday school was told our older two had to stay in service with us, but you all were very pushy about putting the baby with the other staff. Once again we declined because our baby is only one years old. we sat to the back of the sanctuary only to be huffed and puffed that by another staff member when our baby was moving around, another usher kept looking over and then I’m guessing the main pastor of the church came over to introduced himself and to once again seemingly push us to taking the baby out of the sanctuary. no matter how nice you try to put things that is very clear. You do not want children into the sanctuary. Just remember you can make come across as nice but even salt looks like sugar. The fact that you can make such a big deal over minors really shows that you guys need to search your hearts and read your Bible more and grow closer to God to understand God‘s instructions for children. The fact that you can continue to push parents to remove their children when it is our first time visiting shows you have no respect for parents either.
Jesus Blesses the Children
(Mark 10:13–16; Luke 18:15–17)
13Then the little children were brought to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them and pray for them. And the disciples rebuked those who brought them. 14But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” 15And after He had placed His hands on them, He went on from there.
