I received a quote from Fabricated Products of Tampa for a project in Clearwater. After reviewing the scope and their pricing with Mike Hunt (the owner) I decided to move forward with awarding them the contract. I met with Mike on the project site twice and he was very disgruntled. His first comment to me when we met was "I don't know why we got this job anyway".

At the second meeting, the main purpose was to allow him to access the site and take field measurements. He was very rude and made it seem as if he couldn't access the space to take his measurements. so I offered to take them for him. He wasn't happy about it, so I said "I'd be happy to find someone else if you don't want to do this job". He said "Okay, great" and turned around and walked out.

Mike did not handle the situation in a professional manner to say the least. I now have to try to find another steel fabricator in the area to complete this job and try to avoid any schedule delays on the overall project. I'm not happy with my overall interaction with Fabricated Products and will never do business with them again.
