I updated this review to 1 star as a result of the dealership’s response.

I have been going to Vacaville Ram for some time now for service needs. I took my truck in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. After getting the truck back, while washing it, I noticed that one of my lug nuts was missing on the right/front wheel. Either the tech forgot to put it back on or left it very loose. No big deal and an easy fix fight? Well read on.

I called the service department and explained what had happened. I was wondering if I could get a stock lug nut to replace the missing one (approximately a $23.00 part apparently). The representative told me they “would need to see the wheel”. I told her the wheel looks fine and it is just missing the lug nut. Again she told me I would have to make an appointment so they could examine the wheel. I had a busy day ahead and so I offered to send her the above pic. She subsequently transferred me to “Parts” who said they could sell me the lug nut, but could not authorize a free replacement.

In the end I went to Hoblit in Woodland and purchased the new part.

This review is not about a $25.00 lug nut however (that’s with tax out the door). It is really about customer service and organizational culture. To start, I have to wonder what else was missed if something this obvious was overlooked? Second and most important, If I cannot resolve such a simple issue quickly, how does this dealership handle more serious problems?

While I will likely get the canned “Thank you for making us aware…” response from this, just plain good customer service in the first place, would probably have been much more effective.

Can't say enough about Zee that runs this dealership. I know he is honest and does what he says. I am glad I was able to purchase an expedition from this dealership. They were accomdating to me being an out of state purchaser and delivering it to me in Reno. If ya need someone honest, easy to work with go see Zee!!!! Thanks again

EDIT: Thank you for the response about being reached out to by Service on Monday. HOWEVER. I have no confidence I’ll even be contacted. Yesterday when I spoke to a lady in Service she said the service advisor, Sean, would call me back to discuss the vehicle when he got back from lunch in an hour or so.

I never received such phone call.

Had my car for a week, no update phone call. I called and was told it was done. Went in on a Saturday to pick up and found out the Service department is closed on the weekends (found out from a posted sign). So waste of an Uber to the dealership and again back to my house.

Update the business hours on Google (Maps) to reflect that. You can have separate business hours for different departments listed (see Costco).

I asked the Sales dept which was open if I could pick up my car and was told no because Service is separate from Sales.

This is a fleet vehicle so there is no outstanding balance I need to pay. That’s taken care of. So they couldn’t walk over there and get the keys for me to take my car home.

Lack of communication (that my car was done) and poor customer service.

I was looking for a very specific vehicle for my wife and after a less than ideal experience at a local dealer in the Seattle, WA area I looked online and found the same model at the Dodge of Vacaville website. I called them up and spoke to Leo Padilla and he did an amazing job of fulfilling all my requests to check out the vehicle. Since I was an out of state buyer I had to build trust with Leo and he did a great job and giving his honest assessment of the car and providing any documentation that was available to him which he could share. I could tell he was very honest and up front about everything. We received the car recently after arranging for shipping and everything was as described. We are very happy with the car and more importantly the experience was a good one when working with Leo. I highly recommend Leo and if he had another car I was interested in buying in the future I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from him again.

Horrible experience. I lost my key so I towed my truck to them to order and reprogram a new key. (Truck was running fine just needed a new key)
Cost me $500.
Got a call later that day that the truck wouldn’t start. I paid them another $250 to diagnose.. Gave me a quote for $1200 to fix my truck.
I couldn’t afford it so I had to leave my truck there. Came back over the next few days to work on my truck myself.. I fixed it and it wasn’t the problem they told me it was. The $250 diagnosis fee was a waste.

Would not recommend a pre owned vehicle here. Purchased a truck here a little over 3 months ago. I notices the registration was expiring in three months which is now and that the taillight lens was cracked and missing pieces. I asked multiple times about these being taken care of. Not only did I ask my salesmen but I asked the finance manager. Well after agreeing to these being fixed and agreeing and signing paperwork. No on reached out to me for multiple weeks about fixing or replacing the taillight lens. Then i got a notice my registration was due. Both the items i asked and was told would be taken care of. Were not indeed taken care of. This is not to mention that one headlight was so dim it was basically out, the radio antenna was missing, the gas light was on. They did put maybe 20 bucks but still a bummer to buy a new vehicle with not a full tank. The other two items i did fix myself since i didnt notice it while looking at the vehicle but shows their 120 pt inspection or whatever is flawed. After i received the registration notice i called frustrated got the taillight and the registration taken care of. Well thats what i thought. They did take care of the tail light but the communication was not great on their end and the part was ordered multiple times. Then as it came closer to my registration being due. I would reach out ask what was going on because it was showing it as not paid. I kept getting the same response that it was paid and it would take some time to get it in the mail. Well they never did come in and instead of just getting the run around again and again i just paid them myself before i got a ticket or pulled over for it. All this said i do like the vehicle but the process and agreements that were made werent really upheld. Sad to say because had i looked at other reviews I would have known. So unless you are getting something new i would recommend not shopping here!
