TL;DR: David is an incredible photographer, and we'd highly recommend hiring him for any event/wedding/etc.

The details:

We hired/collaborated with David for an outdoor wedding in Bolinas, that included a bike-ceremony bike ride through the hills of Marin (a steep ride, replete with 1,500 feet of climbing!)

David not only agreed to show up early & join us for the ride, he rode the whole ride with his camera equipment in tow, capturing amazing moments from a ride we'll never forget.

David's specialties include:

Framing the scene -- we have photos to give every guest that will be a favorite memory for a lifetime. He took a photo of my sister/her fam that will bring a tear to anyone's eye.

Colors & storytelling -- David has an eye for capturing the beauty of a scene. He knows what elements to include, sees a perfect set of surroundings for every image, and does amazing processing work that both keeps the authenticity of every photo, while really making it sing.

Blending in -- honestly, once the main gathering got going, I barely recall seeing David (other than some family shots, a quick convo at dinner, etc). However, the photos he captured of the entire event were magic. That's just how David rolls, he can step up into any moment, or blend in the shadows can capture moments that absolutely delight.

And... so much more. Would highly recommend working with David. The way he captured our wedding gives us infinite joy.

David took our engagement photos and he was fantastic! He both took risks in exploring unconventional shots that turned out really well, and also played off of our energy. He's very relaxed and he worked around us, so my partner and I could just play around and he found a way to capture it beautifully. He was very accommodating with locations and his timing wasn't super strict, which kept us relaxed and made us feel like we got an awesome deal. He also was super prompt in returning our photos.
