I highly recommend Combat Art Training, simply be well rested with a clear head. Andrew is a family man who is passionate about his craft, very experienced, and strives to become a better person in general. The class I attended was Carry Pistol 1 in late Feb 2024; the two other Js were amazing! The training is professionally led by a veteran open to questions, don't be intimidated by his beard. The only reason I chose his class is because mediocrity isn't part of Combat Art Training. You'll get fundamentals, Q&As, medical, plenty of drills while priority number one will always be safety. Also, he can provide a gun if you don't own one. Overall, it was a humble experience, and I'm very appreciative of Andrew's (and family) hospitality. Lastly, a shout-out to Trae owner of Ares Training Facility, very knowledgeable and friendly person with a great sense of humor.

2 days of greatness!!! Andrew is a very good instructor. Working with your sling, weapons manipulations drills, various types of malfunctions clearing drills, dynamic movement to and from cover, buddy drills with communication and more. It was a fantastic 2 days with my son Phil. As Phil is also looking to go Army (and hopefully Ranger) next year, this is a great platform to give him a great head start on skill sets.

My wife and I took Rifle 1 class and, it was by far the best experience we have ever taken. The knowledge that Andrew, our instructor, brought to the table was just outstanding. He helped us gain confidence in our ability with our rifles and was very patient on correcting our errors. If you haven’t taken Pistol 1 please take Pistol 1 first, before you take Rifle 1.

Great Learning experience! Andrew is a great instructor/teacher and his drills throughout the class help you systematically become more proficient and confident. The training I did had beginners to more experienced guys and everyone learned, and felt safe and comfortable while doing so. I would definitely recommend

Riflemen 1 was a great class taught by Andrew. It’s definitely a fighting with your rifle class. Andrew is a good instructor/ teacher. I definitely recommend him as a beginner and advanced shooter that wants to learn to use his weapon to defend himself and family.

The EDC fanny pack is a fantastic piece of low profile gear. I went kayaking and in a swimsuit it is hard to carry a full sized pistol. Intro the fanny pack. It held my medical, wallet, g19 with x300 light, 3 extra mags and flashlights. I capsized and the fanny pack held all of my stuff! I flipped the boat over and was able to quickly detach the fanny pack and put it in the boat. Pushed it to shore and got on with it. THANK YOU Andrew for creating such a solid piece of kit.

Took Rifle Skills 1 on March 1st. This was a great class. I did not have much prior rifle experience so I got excellent education and practice in skills such as safety, rifle setup, trigger control, ready positions, holds at distance up to 25yds, sighting and picture, shooting on the move, reloads and clearing malfunctions, fast targeting, shooting rhythm and marksmanship. Coming out of this class I feel much more confident in my rifle abilities. Highly recommend this course for those new to rifles but also those looking to hone their skills. Andrew is a great instructor. Patient, friendly and always willing to take the time to explain and help.

Took Combat Shotgun a few weeks ago with Combat Art Training. This is my second class with them and they surely didn't disappoint. Awesome class to learn how to run a shotgun for combat! The instructors and participants were all great. It was a decent sized class but plenty of one-on-one attention and there was a good team feeling. The class covered safety, shotgun handling (both pump and semi auto) and ready positions, clearing malfunctions, burst shooting and reloading, port loading, slug changeover, shooting on the move, post pause shooting and transitioning to a pistol. Also spent some time where everyone got to pattern their shotguns with different brands of ammo at different distances. Invaluable experience well worth the money and a great bunch of people! Combat Art also brought some of their own products (soaps, shotgun cards, bags, etc) for sale which was really cool. Looking forward to taking Rifleman I with Combat Art soon! Took Carry Pistol 1 class recently and it was truly an amazing experience. More than what I was hoping for. Andrew is a super nice guy, very personable and also a great teacher. Knowledgeable, professional, patient and always learning and growing himself. The class covers a ton of material...safety, pistol operation, drawing from holster, trigger control, combat reload, clearing malfunctions, retrieving magazines, shooting on the move, shooting from cover/concealment, shooting under stress, medical/trauma kit, legal/moral/tactical self-defense considerations and more. There is SO much value in this class, totally worth the cost. It really was a profound learning experience. I'm looking forward to taking more classes with Andrew and have already recommended Combat Art to friends and family. Thank you Andrew!
