Unreal that the forest service decided to leave an active fire after a campfire that was unattended started the whole thing up on peaks land. If a campfire started this fire, then why would they leave this one unattended to possibly start a bigger one?! US forest service, decided to leave this fire unattended all night long while embers are still sparking... WHY?!!!

Not a very robustic scenery. Lots of falling, chopped and dead trees. Roads are rocky (literally...rock and stones- if you go the back way), so have good tires or an off road vehicle. Still, the scenery was cool, as you can see different species of flowers and shrubs with amazing colors.

I have been trying to get a wood permit. I call during business hours. I call within the silly wood permit window. I leave messages. I am convinced there is no one there. If you want people to work within the system you better make it easy for them to do so. Otherwise people will start working outside the system.

Called to voice a concern about access to water. Talked to an incredibly rude and surly woman named liz. So rude unhelpful and unfriendly she hung up on me. Water is fundamental human right and the national forest and all of its entities are tax payer funded so getting access to a good amount of drinking water should be no problem, she made it seem like it wasnt. Shocked this happened what a rude nasty woman.
