I visited Coastline approximately 14 years ago for the first time. I had very little interest in getting back into church, because I had grown up in church and had strayed far from Christ and His church. Through living people and positive interactions, I returned several times over the next few years before getting my heart right, and ultimately joined. Over the last 11 years, my wife, daughter, and both sons have come to accept Christ! This place has been such a blessing to our family.
The Pastor - preaches God’s Word unfailingly and has a heart for winning souls to Christ.
The facilities are top notch, having recently been completely renovated.
The programs are friendly and have a class for everyone of every age.
The message is to “love God, and love others”
The congregation is friendly, engaging, and very diverse.

Whether your first time ever attending a church, or for are new to the area, you should definitely visit Customs!!

We love Coastline! We’ve been attending for close to 3 years. We “church shopped” for quite a while in North County, but landed here, and we feel at home!

My husband was raised Lutheran, and I was raised Catholic. We knew we were missing out on a church where we could truly just learn from the Bible. Coastline has been awesome for that. We love that the pastor teaches from the Bible. He teaches us what specific words mean, and their origin, which really helps those (like me) who need it translated a little more.

We’ve felt welcome there since our first day. We’ve had SO much community as a military family since joining their small groups. Our children have loved it as well. They’ve learned just as much as we have.

We will be so sad to leave this church. I highly recommend Coastline.

Being in the military and having to move every few years means we have to find a new church family every few years as well. After receiving orders to Camp Pendleton I was worried it would take my family and I a while to find the right church to become a part of. We are so thankful God always keeps His promises. Coastline Baptist Church was the first church we visited when arriving to California and we have never experienced such a loving and welcoming group of believers. Since becoming members of Coastline my family and I have grown so much closer to our Lord Jesus Christ, and we are so thankful to have a Pastor that preaches Biblical truth.

Coastline is more than a church, it’s a home. Between being treated like family and people with a passion for Christ there isn’t much more you could look for in a church. It’s hard to find a church in 2023 that is going to preach you truth directly from the Bible, but that’s exactly what Coastline does. If you’re looking for a place that will help bring you closer to Christ, I wouldn’t recommend going anywhere else. I am forever grateful for what Coastline has meant to me and for the way God has worked in this church.

I accepted Christ in 1972 in an independent Baptist Church at the age of 11. Those were days when Christianity was growing, respect and standards and biblical convictions were preached and modeled.

Coastline modeled this example when it started but through the years they've compromised on Biblical standards. They have become a modern day Church who's more interested in appearance and looks then they are people. They've become seeker friendly who prefers to attract people on the outside but inside they're no different then the Godless compromising church down the street.

They've also brought politics into their church and become a cult. They believe lies and gossip over truth. Last time I tried to visit they were hateful and unkind for reasons I'll tell anyone privately.
My experience with them was horrible and I do not recommend going there. What you may see is NOT Biblical or truth or honesty or Godly.

Growing up in a small Baptist church, I was at first a little nervous to try out Coastline since it is a bit bigger than what I was used to. But from the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by now friends and made to feel at home. We placed sound, Biblical teaching at the center of what we were looking for and found that at Coastline. Pastor Chappell unapologetically preaches from the Bible and not from his own intent. I feel comfortable going in a skirt and blouse or jeans and a tshirt. Everyone is there with the sole focus of worshipping God. Even though the worship team is of an amazing caliber, their focus is still to point others to Jesus and not there for their own praise. 10 years in, and we are so thankful to have joined and have been a part of Coastline.
