This place is incredible. The staff members are the nicest people you’d ever want to meet. Safety first is reenforced with every interaction. We met Mike at the 100 yard range. He was patience and helped my brother get his rifle sighted. Great guy. We met David on the pistol range. He was professional and cool at the same time. We came for a day of shooting and were not disappointed. We are DEFINITELY making the drive from Atlanta to CMO more often. Thank you CMP for a great time!

Wow! What an amazing facility ? Also, the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly.

I was visiting from out of town and stopped in with my dad to shoot. We came well equipped on a Sunday morning (Mother’s Day) and the place was empty.

We started at range 4 and shot the steel targets there. They have an awesome variety of steel targets that move back and forth. Jeff was the attending staff there and he had some great tips on how to make different targets move every which way. Tbh this was my favorite range there bc I prefer to shoot handguns in general. Loved every moment!

Then we moved on to the 100 yard range. I hadn’t spent much time shooting rifles but thanks to some excellent tips from the staff member there I qualified for the longer range without issue. I forget the gentleman’s name regrettably which is unfortunate because he probably gave me the most important tips/tricks that I’d use the rest of my time there with the rifle as well as in any future rifle shooting.

We finished our time there with Bobby at the 600 yard range. Bobby helped guide me to finding tight groupings at 200, 300, and 600 yards. Myself, having no idea how to go about locking in at that distance, I found Bobby’s guidance extremely useful.

This facility and its staff are incredible. I can’t wait to make my way back again.

We love coming here! We try to make it at least twice a year from south Florida. If you like to shoot, this is your Disney! Stellar facilities and staff is top notch. Dave saw me struggling with my trigger pull on the pistol range today and gave some golden nuggets of wisdom and I was shooting better almost immediately! Can’t wait to come back!

Still a great experience experience, this is my 4th visit in almost as many weeks. I love the help the range officers are always willing to give, they don't just sit back and watch you struggle with an issue but are experts and lend thier knowledge to help you. Thank you! And Best top of the line shooting lanes I have ever seen, especially outside.

This place is just simply amazing, the best and most clean outdoor range I’ve ever been to. The RSOs are amazing and friendly, they might seem a bit intimidating at first when explaining the range policies but that’s just because they take their jobs seriously and just want everyone to be safe. After that they’re just simply awesome. I’ve just only had much experience with Bobby from Range 1, and he’s one of the most insightful people I’ve ever met. I’ve learned from Bobby more than from anyone ever and he helped me get my group in super tight at 600yd. I just wish we had an option to tip them because I’d love a way to show my gratitude towards amazing officers like Bobby. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place! Seems well organized, and friendly, helpful staff. Range Officers were great. Felt respected and not treated any differently than the male shooters. Beautiful, picturesque location and the grounds and shooting stations well maintained. Clubhouse was beautiful as well. We'll definitely be back and bring our friends! Thank you for a wonderful day! A two hour drive for us, but a whole day of fun!

A friend and I drove about three hours to visit this facility and the great motorcycle museum at Barber Motorsports Park. The whole CMP facility is first class. We only had handguns to shoot but were pleased to find the range had steel targets which are fun to shoot. Wished I could come here more often.

Do you THINK you are a good marksman? Come here and find out definitively, for better or worse.
This place is GREAT. It's a completely different experience from a inside-gun-store type range in that it is HUGE, has good, helpful employees and is simply top-notch.
To use the whole course you must demonstrate SOME skill by putting 3 rounds in the black at 100 yards. THEN you can go on the the 200, 300 and 600 range. Each station has a sturdy shooting bench with a rifle rest and a screen that records your performance. Smooth concrete floor, nice awning/roof above. It's simply what one needs to relax and test the limits of you and your rifle/optics/ammo.
I took a friend, and we had a great first time visit. There is an obligatory safety video, then you pay ($30 for all day/all access) and set out to qualify. House carts are provided to haul all your gear to the ranges, or you can rent one and keep it all day.
We most enjoyed the 'unknown distance' range. This is how I have usually had a fun day with a rifle. Random steel targets are scattered all over a hilly field. One hit-one CLANG....There are some shotgun ranges with multiple stations, but we were just on rifle areas.
The day we went the crowd was as diverse as an old Benneton ad. A (I'm guessing) 12 year old Indian girl was banging X with an AR next to us, quite a few Asian folks, and probably a third of the crowd was families with more than two kids. Some good old boys and a smattering of super serious people with dedicated target rifles made up the rest. AR and various .30 were most popular, but some overkill was evident with a crazy report now and then and some big brass on the floor like a 300 Winchester.....guess they hunt out West.
ANYWAY- this is a top-notch facility with good people and an intelligent setup. If you have a friend that is anti-gun but has an open mind, bring them here. They will probably join the NRA.
IF YOU GO- Have a range bag, it's a long way to the parking area. All guns have to be cased. Pistol caliber carbines or rimfire are not allowed on the long ranges. A spotting scope isn't necessary as the target is shown and recorded at each rifle station.
Eat before you come if spending all day. If there is a meal available here I didn't see it.
