I have been driving this road to work every day for 14 years and it is unbelievable what these semi drivers from the sand mine do. They will pull out in front of anybody at any speed, no matter what. I’ve had to pull into the median four times in the past three years just to not cause an accident that would’ve been their fault. They do not care and I’m pretty sure that they’ve been told from the Sandmine to do this because “people will just learn when they get close to this road, they will have to stop for the sand trucks.”

This morning was the straw that broke the camels back two trucks, pulling out two trucks, pulling in causing two cars to lock up their brakes and slide off the road all because they think they run the place.

I signed the Facebook petition to shut down until we can get this resolved. I’m a business owner and I understand how negative reviews can affect a company, but this is absolutely out of control. I filed a complaint with the police department for them being the cause of hazardous driving conditions, in a specific location. I encourage others to do the same. It’s been this way for years, so it’s obvious that we are going to have to force their hand because they cannot handle it internally as a company. I will follow up on this complaint in two weeks and every two weeks it has been fixed. And if it’s not, then I will make sure It’s brought in front of the right people to get them shut down until proper training for drivers has been done

This company does not take responsibility of its drivers. Every time the truck drivers merge onto State Road 60, they never yield to the traffic control device. “The stop sign”. I’m sure everyone in Lake Wales knows how many accidents we have had, and not to mention a recent one. That person had to be airlifted. Cemex needs to work with the state and put a traffic light section. Cemex needs to take accountability and responsibility for all its drivers including the independent drivers that comes and buy their products. The other sand plant located inside Story Road is called Vulcan, they have the same truck drivers that’ll fail to yield also. Maybe they need to work together on this situation?

I have had multiple trucks pull out the speed limit is 65mph I had a guy do it to me when I was riding my motorcycle scary as hell and once with my little brother in the car not cool at all
