Love this place! Cabins clean and very comfortable during hot summer months. Great meeting space for groups and has kitchen and large eating area. All three of my kids have been able to come to visit the Blue Horizon every summer with their youth group, thanks to Dirk's hospitality! They looked forward to their favorite beach spot every summer! We visit here annually as chaperones with our church high school youth group. The facility bathrooms are always very clean and the people are exceptional to work with. The only negative would be the carpet is really old, and we can’t always find what we are looking for in the kitchen. Since we are on a youth retreat with about 100 people, even with old carpet, it is by far one of our favorite group facilities. My suggestion is to bring knives, pot holders, and kitchen towels if you will be cooking for a group. The fridge and range are large and there are separate kitchens in two other buildings if needed. We usually find enough pots and pans. The location is awesome as it is directly across the street from the beach. We look forward to this trip every year

2023 update: We are happy to report they have new carpet in the meeting hall and new flooring in the lodge as well as a few sharp knives and a new gas range in the kitchen. Some updates are in the works for some of the smaller cabins too

Decent place over all. It really is not bad it just needs some updating to feel great. i would give this 3.5 stars if I could because I would rate this right between "IT'S OKAY" AND "I LIKED IT"

Some of the facilities could use a face lift, but the bathrooms and sleeping areas were clean despite... Feeling cramped and tiny. Turning around in the shower of our room would be hard if you are larger. Having more hooks in the bathroom and on the patios would give more space to hang towels and such. The double shower bathroom has one hook total. Needs a few more.
Parking is limited to a few spots, and some street side parking.
The pool, volleyball Court, and basketball court are well kept up. Some pool side shade would be a good addition.
Some of the bunk beds don't insipire confidence as they are a little wobbly, doesn't seem safe for large visitors.
I cannot speak to cost as I attended with a group and it was already covered.

My previous church booked Blue Horizon for our youth retreats for years. Dirk's facilities are sparkling clean and he has the best customer service around. It is steps from the beach, has a pool, volleyball court, large indoor areas, laundry facilities, bathhouses as well as private bathrooms in each dorm, and a huge kitchen. It's perfect for any type of retreat. We are loyal customers and will definitely be back!

Very clean, beautiful location. Can see the gulf out of windows. Gulf is less then a block away, straight across street. Great management, commercial kitchen access, large meeting rooms.

Having served as a student pastor for 8 years and now as a lead pastor for 4 years, Blue Horizon is hands down my favorite place to take groups. The facilities are clean and meticulously maintained. Every year we go, there are new updates and improvements. It's the best run camp in Florida!

We were able to rent this facility during the off season for a special event I was attending. It is well kept. It has a full kitchen. The owner is a really great guy. I enjoyed our stay.
