Their trusses and metal sheeting are nice quality. The management, owner, and operation are not good. Installation was incompetent. Hire somebody else to do any installation. If you can find somewhere else to get materials, you run much less risk of having to deal with this terribly run operation.
The number of egregious errors that I witnessed and am aware of on other projects by this company would keep anybody from ever trusting such a big job to this organization. Do not sign their contract that states that any lawsuit you bring against them to complete their work will be at your expense for your lawyer and theirs.

CAREFUL FOLKS, what was supposed to be easy BARN build turned into a CIRCUS and but fast! 7 Months from Down Payment to build start. Invoice changed multiple times without any notification from builder. Although we had asked to have it spec'd a certain way for finished, when it came down to it, it all got added on extra as we were told none of that was part of the build. The Concrete pour was 9 bucks a sq ft at 5" thick - can you say gouging someone? then the quality of the pour and finish wasn't performed in accordance with the premium price we paid, and had to be reworked multiple times and still isn't acceptable. THEN there is the whole SALES TAX issue. CAREFUL, they will quote you a built price lump sum for all work and materials, then when they want final payment the invoice will all the sudden contain SALES TAX. According to the FL dept of revenue, this is a "Real Property" lump sum contract and should not have been charged Sales Tax. Nate built our Barn and he did a good job, showed up on time, was professional and courteous at all times. I cannot say the same for the owners or management at Blackwater/USA Metal Sales. At one point I asked a sub to do a side project ( sidewalk) and received a phone call from the owner stating that " I stole his contractor" and that "he expected more from me" all the while telling his contractors anything to do with any part of the barn quoted or not was to go through him so he could gouge us even more. I'm a real person, my name is in this review because I want people to know I'm a real person, and it is unfortunate that companies like this somehow exist and grow based on how unethical they conduct business. Now I'm receiving forms saying they will place a lien on my property. That will end in a lawsuit costing us both money, so buckle up! I'm prepared to pay what I owe, which is the money minus Sales Tax just to make them go away. but I guess that isn't good enough for them, they want one final piece of our rear in gouging us.... You Decide... 175K for a 4,896 sq ft barn.... sound expensive?

Ordered custom trusses from them and satisfied but i asked what length tin i needed they told me 22:7. I bought tin from someone else and it was 10 inches short . Accurate measurement was 23:5 and when i asked Blackwater why they gave me the wrong measurement they couldnt come up with a good explanation. Told me if i.would have brought the tin from them they would help me out on the price of other trusses i ordered seperatlywhich was basically punishing me for not buying the tin from them. Trusses are the beat ive seen but the customer service is lousy. They admitted fault but didnt wanna do anything about it.

I bought trusses a few years ago and several asked where i purchased them. I told them blackwater then they saw the reviews and were surprised. Let me tell you this is a FIVEstar company. Obviously a digruntled employee wrote a bad review. I will tell anyone they were great to deal with. Product was ready when i arrived and they were very helpful loading and answered my questions about tying down. The trusses were layed out and welded correct which made a easy errection. Unlike some i have had experience with. DO NOT BE AFRAID to do bussiness with these people!

Blackwater Truss was great when it came to doing our pole-barn/shop. They helped with everything we needed customized, from the dimensions to the amount/type of cement ensuring it met all of our needs. We are going on 2 years now since it was built, still loving the shop, and recommend them to all in the area.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I would rate them lower than a 1 star if possible. The most nonprofessional company I have ever experienced. The workers who answer the phones and complete your order have NO KNOWLEDGE of trusses what so ever. I contacted this company and informed them what I needed and the workers proceeded to let me believe I was receiving something they do not make. Upon delivery I recieve something I DID NOT REQUEST and did no accept delivery. 700 dollars later they refuse to refund me anytime portion of money and kept the order for themselves. While trying to work something out the OWNERS of the business INSULTED me directly and helped me in no form. I REPEAT DO NOT do business with this company.

After 4 calls to the office requesting to speak with someone regarding getting a building kit, and two messages left over the last week, still no return call. They may make a fine product, I would prefer to use them as they have a tube truss instead of an angle truss, but its hard to sell something when you won't talk to your customers.
