My mom needed a repair or more specifically re-welding of one of her favorite stainless steel pan's lid and handle. I contacted as many welding business as I could in the Bay Area but for some reason or another none but Mark from Berlin Food and Lab responded.
Mark asked for a picture of what I wanted repaired. After I emailed that to him, he just asked me to come by his office so he can have this fixed in a few minutes for no charge.
He was not only the only person to respond but he was sweet enough to offer to weld for free. He just asked for a few hours of notice prior to coming over.
I finally managed to find some time to bring that over but even though I cut it close to his closing time, he still said that I can drop by and he can help.
When I dropped by, Mark was there waiting at the parking lot. He told my mom and I to just wait for a few minutes while he performed the weld.
The job might be small but he had a big heart and did an awesome job. It meant so to my mom that she gave him a hug afterwards!
Excellent workmanship is one thing but an excellent character much rarer and Mark definitely has that so I would give 10/5 stars
(I will add a before and after picture of the weld soon)
