When I first picked up a Begg knife, I could tell it was different. The way it opened made me feel confident that it could handle anything I threw at it. At first, I was hesitant to use it because I didn't want to scratch the blade or get it dirty. But eventually, I worked up the courage to use it on a daily basis, and it's been my go-to knife ever since.

I've put this knife through a lot, using it to cut wood, zip ties, and even sharp aluminum burrs. I've even used the blade as a makeshift screwdriver. And to do some wax carvings while camping and fishing. Despite all this, the knife has never failed me. I've only sharpened it twice, though it’s hard to get it as sharp as when it's brand new.

What really impressed me was the attention to detail in the handle's inlays, and the unique clip that uses a single ball to securely hold the knife in place. I've taken it skiing, and even after tumbling down the mountain losing everything else, I knew it would still be there, ready for whatever came next.

The company behind the knife is also fantastic. They were super friendly when I contacted them with questions, and they left me feeling confident that I’d never have to buy another knife.

I love Begg knives. I own five of their engraved customs, a very rare rear fixed blade glimpse, a polished Astio and a Mandera. All hold pride of place in my knife collection. I would and do recommend these knives to any collectors. All purchased from my authorised Australian dealer.

I have a Todd Begg Sun Tzu Kwaiken and a Steelcraft Bodega and they are both marvelous knives that are a joy to carry and use. They are both well made, with buttery smooth actions, incredible aesthetics, quality materials, and impressive attention to detail. Even my friends who aren’t into knives can appreciate these gems in my collection. I firmly believe these are heirloom quality tools and once you have one in your hands, you will begin to understand why these knives are held in such high regard.

I have been a collector of BEGG knives since it was a tiny operation. Own probably 8 of his creations, from simple production folders to hand crafted, one-of-a-kind masterpieces. There is no finer knife made IN THE WORLD. Sure, there are more expensive knives — try getting a mint Loveless, e.g., without selling a kidney — but that does not make them better knives. In years to come, people with custom Beggs will be saying, ‘so glad I bought that piece,’ and people without will be saying, ‘sure wish I had bought that piece.’ WORKS. OF. ART.
