Simply the most delicious and beautifully crafted cupcakes I’ve ever tried!
The variety is amazing, and they even offer gluten-free options if needed. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Plenty of free parking, which is a huge plus.

This is definitely the go-to place for custom birthday cakes and cupcakes. Highly recommend!

If I could give Batter 'N Icing more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Not only have they become my favorite go-to for cupcakes, but I was referred to the company to help with my wedding cake. From the initial inquiry email all the way to the final drop off at the vendor, Nisha went gone above and beyond to ensure that my cake and dessert bar was perfect and she delivered everything in a timely manner. Honestly, it was more than what I could ask for. She was so easy to talk to, both email and in person. She treats all her customers as equals, not like some vendors where the moment you say "wedding" and the vendor charge 3x more. She was very transparent about her pricing and there were no hidden fees which I appreciated. Her ability to turn your vision into reality is something else, and I loved how we were able to bounce ideas off one another. Everyone LOVED the cake and desserts. So much, that I didn't even get to have any of my desserts because everyone else ate them all!! The cake was so moist and the cupcakes were a huge hit with the choice of flavors (I was told that the peach cobbler was a favorite!). Now that the wedding is over, I still come to the Pleasant Hill location to enjoy a cupcake or two because there's no doubt that Nisha and her team do a fantastic job. Their customer service is top notch and I promise you that you will not be disappointed.

I ordered a cake for my son’s first birthday, and could not have been more pleased with not only the cake itself, but the whole experience at Batter ‘N Icing!!! Since I have a tendency to leave things to the last minute, I was doubtful I could find anyone to make a custom cake on short notice, but I called them on a Saturday afternoon, they went over the details meticulously with me over the phone after I emailed them inspiration photos, and they had it ready to go on Monday at noon. Absolutely delicious and the design was perfect. Only regret I have is not ordering a bigger one, because everyone wanted more it was so good!

Really, really disappointing. Cupcake weren't decorated as promised, the flavors were wrong and the taste of the icing was as if it was synthetic.
We ordered 30 black and white cupcakes: vanilla and chocolate. Vanilla cake with chocolate icing and chocolate cake with vanilla icing. The icing was supposed to be a smooth topping over the cupcake with a pretty little flower in the opposite color. They did NOT ice the top of the cupcake as promised (or as they showed us in their sample book) and instead put a huge, glob-like flower on top that was quite amorphous. Additionally, the black icing that was supposed to be chocolate WASN"T even chocolate. It tasted like vanilla with some sort of synthetic, chemical tasting dye to make it dark. Sadly, this is my 2nd customer order with Batter N' Icing and my 2nd disappointment. After the first they apologized and admitted their error. I wanted to give them a 2nd chance but that was my mistake. Next time I'll go with the tried and true that never disappoints: Nothing Bundt Cakes or Susie Cakes.

When the big day arrived, I was absolutely blown away by the final product. The cake and cupcakes were not only visually stunning but also tasted heavenly. The cake was moist and flavorful, with layers of rich, delicious buttercream. Each cupcake was a miniature masterpiece, perfectly complementing the main cake both in design and taste.

The craftsmanship and dedication of Batter 'N Icing are evident in every bite. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how beautiful and delicious everything was, and my daughter was thrilled with her birthday treats. The cake and cupcakes truly became the centerpiece of the celebration, adding a touch of elegance and sweetness to the event. All the guests were RAVING and asking me where we had it done-- and when they found out, they were impressed because apparently they have a super high end reputation and know they always do awesome work.

I am beyond impressed with Batter 'N Icing and would highly recommend them for your next big event!

A cute and pink little bakery in the center of downtown Pleasant Hill. You will not be disappointed when entering Batter n Icing and taking one, or a dozen, delicious cupcakes. I made mini cupcakes with floral patterns and some special cupcakes for my birthday. Delicious and adorable. The raspberry almond is delectable.

Batter 'N Icing is the go-to place for delicious cup-cakes in the East Bay! They have a wonderful variety of flavors and are beautifully decorated (fun seasonal themes available). Not only do they look good but they taste even better! The cake is moist and the frosting is flavorful but not too heavy. A special treat served up by a friendly staff in a bright and cheery store.
