Quaint restaurant just off town Square. Service was 6 stars! Fast, attentive, and courteous. Food was ok- I think it was toned down on the spice scale for the Villagers, but still cleaned my plate.

We were recently in this restaurant and were eager to eat this plate "fried red snapper Mexican style". What a disappointment! The fish were very small, skinny and over fried. The whole plate contained food in small quantities vs the old plate where I couldn't eat it all because it was a lot. This time we went home hungry. The old plate had a humongous fish and the rest of the food was in bigger proportions and it cost was $17.99 now it's $25.99 but much less food.
Mind you, I am not complaining about the price, I understand that, but the size of the food proportions.
Also, We didn't like the tasteless salsa they serve with the chips. It's tomato paste liquified with pieces of onion in it. They raised the prices and lowered the quantity and quality...):

Everything tasted good. The guacamole could a been a little more "fresh", but was ok. The Coronas were nice and cold. My daughter LOVED her cheese enchiladas with the mild red sauce. The server was Super sweet and very attentive.

The margarita was mediocre, the steak was burnt (like charcoal), and the service was worse.

Server took my drink order, brought my drink and took my food order, and I didn't see him for over an hour. Someone else brought out the food. Long wait after asking for check. I gave up and went to the front to just tell whoever was at the register what I had ordered so I could pay. My waiter came running up to give me the check and take my payment.

Lady at the table next to me had to order multiple time because the server forgot the order.

Nice part was that I enjoyed sitting outside and people watching.

I honestly don't like to give bad reviews, but this server actually worked to get the bad review.

Sat down around 4 and chips and salsa came out quickly. Waitress came round to take our drink order and we also gave our food order. Other tables around us began to fill in. Much to our dismay people who came in after us started to get their food. I finally got our waitresses' attention. She actually reviewed our order and wrote it down again. She said she would check in the kitchen. I said people who came in after us were leaving! She got defensive and said she was very busy. She undoubtedly was but didn't apologize to us nor did she comp. us anything. Pretty certain she never turned in our order. Around 5:30 we were out of there. Good food but this was our last time there.

The chips were stale, the salsa tasted like tomatoes poured out of a can. Service was terrible and prices are much higher than they should be for the quality. We were afraid to order Margaritas.

To start off, we were given chips and 2 bowls of salsa. Problem is, both bowls were hot. 2 of the guests found out the hard way. We asked for 1 mild to replace one of the hot sauces. Good to go. Now going around the table, Ma had 2 CRAB ENCHILADAS - OMG - tasted like old fish - yuck. Wife had SUPER ENCHILADA chicken - chewy and dried out chicken with little to no flavor. I had the AY! JALISCO BURRITO - excellent. Great taste, loved the ground beef. I shared my meal with the other 2 since their meals were yuck. The rice and beans were good. My wife will probably never let me return again.

Our first time here and we are in no hurry to get back.
Food and drink were mediocre at best. Service excellent. We sat on the patio. My husband said that men's bathroom was horrible!
