Left 2 freeze plugs inside of block. Motor got hot tanked but since these people left freeze plugs in the motor didn’t get properly cleaned. Left my main caps oily and dirty, had mild surface rust inside of bores and told me a hone wouldn’t remove the surface rust so they need to bore it out. Took the motor home, honed it and the cylinders looked brand new. Even damaged almost all of my cam bearings and told me I can sand it down to smooth it out, smh. Should’ve listened to other shops and took my motor elsewhere.

There is so many things wrong here. I brought a head for a tractor im working on with my kids and I highly doubt I'll be able to use it now. First I was told that my deposit covered the work that had been done to the part which at that time was the pressure test, magnaflux, and tear down and inspect. I was fine with that and needed a resurfacing to be done. I was given a price which I agreed on. Initially I was there to get a valve job and resurfacing for the part. But after the quote I was giving more than doubled. I did not want the valve job performed. I just wanted the resurfacing done. And I had so much difficulty with that. The price changed multiple times and at the end of it I'm out just about 400 bucks and my head has grooves over the entire service. I doubt a head gasket will be able to make a seal and if not now I will be forced to get a new head for this tractor which is at minimum 1,000 dollars. I absolutely cannot believe the trouble this shop gave and that I had to pay what I did to get a giant paperweight back.

They are friendly and the service is fast. The Price is a little pricey, but their work is rock solid so you get what you pay for. They turned a Flywheel and honed some front spindles for my stock 1931 Ford Model A Tudor.

I think to write a proper review you need to have experience in the field you are reviewing. Most people will not write a positive review because they are satisfied with the product or service and just go on with life. The ones that feel they have been negatively treated will put on a negative review to try to get revenge for what the feel has been improper treatment. I was in my youth an owner of an automotive repair shop so I have a little experience. Nobody is 100 percent and do make mistakes but the guys at Arringdale’s come pretty close to perfection. I no longer have the equipment to do machine work but can do the disassembly and assembly of engines and have over the years had machine work done on two engines by Arringdale’s and believe they are the best in the high desert

I recently took an old British sports car engine to Arringdale's to have some machining done, including the cylinder head rebuilt. i was given a cost estimate before any work was performed and a rough idea of the time it would take. I was impressed with the level of professionalism displayed by the shop owner as well as the communication when there were questions or issues regarding the work that needed to be done. There was only one small issue that I discovered after i got the engine home and Rick Arringdale took care of the issue as soon as I showed him the problem. During the process, I was given advise and suggestions regarding the engine rebuild and things I might consider doing. The cost of the work was very reasonable considering what I had asked to be done. Overall, I would highly recommend Arringdale's machine shop to anyone who needs to have engine work performed. This was not my first experience with this shop and I know it will not be the last.

We had a 1959 Ford 223 6 cylinder engine block that was in need of a major over haul. The block was out of a truck that has been in the family since it was purchased new and we wanted to restore the truck. Rick, Donald and the rest of the crew were AMAZING at handling this rebuild!!! The job was done quick and they kept us informed every step of the way. We put the block back in the truck and so far it's running like a dream! Couldn't be happier with this shop and would recommended them to anyone looking for a great engine rebuild!!
