The sunset was beautiful. Hop on the trolley so you see all around the island. Lots of places to eat and shop. The pier is down because of the hurricane but the island is still busy.

Love AMI! We have been coming here for years. Bean point beach is the best for white sandy beaches and a bit of dolphin watching with the sunset. Plenty of places to eat and explore and not far from anything else you might want to do!!

The beach was beckoning Sunday morning, so we drove the 10 minutes from the mainland to discover what appeared to be a deserted island just across the bridge! The beach was better than ever after the storm.
The islanders have done an amazing job of getting things cleaned up since the hurricane left things in disarray a few weeks ago. We could hardly believe the difference! There was hardly any traffic, but lots of wide open beach, sunshine and fresh air. We thoroughly enjoyed a long walk in the surf without the usual crowds!

I have lived 2 hours south for 20 years. I just came for a visit, not realizing how beautiful this place is. Please if you visit pick up after yourself it is beautiful and I would like to see it stay as beautiful as it is. Check out the Oyster House yum.

Highly recommend Anna Maria Island. The island is absolutely beautiful with amazing white sand beaches. There are also many beaches with plenty of parking that is free. However the northern part of the island it's almost impossible to find a parking spot as it has high-end real estate. I really like the Manatee Beach as the water was crystal clear and it was perfect for the kids swimming. The water also has a nice turquoise blue color that reminds me of Bahamas or Barbados. The Manatee Beach has a cute little playground for the children. There's also live music at the Manatee Beach with a little restaurant with tables and chairs setup with
a beautiful view of the beach. I really loved my time on Anna Maria Island. We will definitely be back. This is a great spot for children as the waves are less rough compared to the Atlantic side of Florida.
