Bugstrider
5/5
I am waiting to have an item looked at for slight modification so this review is just based on initial experience.
I found myself in needing some milling done on a factory OEM, very expensive part that was 50 years old. Due to design differences my original part is slightly different that the replacement.
I walk in off of the street, unannounced, hoping to ask some questions with a part I had. I was amazed just how big the company is. There are several different buildings with different tooling equipment depending on the job. I initially end up speaking with a very nice representative in the “Shipping and Receiving” department, sorry I don’t remember his name, who listened to my question then placed a call to Jason Hanks, the Customer Service Director. Jason took time out his day to also speak to me personally about my needs. Jason was very nice to talk to and listened to all of my details and explained a few viable solutions. Jason then walked me over to personally speak with Jim Winje who is the Lathe Department Manager. Jim immediately struck me as a person with a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience. Jim and I then discussed my particular case and options. All three representative were knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with and willing to assist me in any way the could.
I was very impressed with the sizable operation, tooling, and professionalism that was shown to me. There is not a doubt in my mind that if someone who just walks in off the street with a question and is treated as professionally as I was, then this should be your first stop if you need a project completed, especially on a commercial level. At least give them a chance to see if their services will work for you. I will have future needs of services that Airpoint Precision Inc. provides and I will be calling in them again when the time arises.
Thanks again!
