Bought a house with a standby generator attached. Called Advanced Marine to schedule a service of the generator as they are the closest factory recommended service center.

First question: " did you purchase the generator from us?

Answer: "We did not as we are not the original owners of the house.

Response: "We wont service it. Here is a list of others to call.

Is business really that good?

The next closest certified service center is in another state.

What a poor business model. They could have charged me double and I still would have paid.

I recently completed the purchase of a Kohler home standby generator for my primary residence in Pensacola. After attending two home shows, researching all brands of standby generators, and reading as many reviews of local distributors and servicers as I could, I decided that P & D Marine had the best combination of price and service. I can honestly say that from initial meeting to discuss the selection, purchase and installation process, through the setting of the generator and electric service contractor and gas hookup, it was a complete pleasure working with Ross and Travis at P & D. As part of my research, I had tried last year to work with two different firms and both either did not return my calls, or were no shows for the initial meeting to discuss my electrical standby needs. Save yourself some aggravation if you are shopping for a whole house standby generator and call Ross or Travis. You'll be glad you did!

As someone that has spent over 30 years in the automotive equivalent of these guys I can truly say that they are without a doubt the rare few business' that truly understand customer service. They are not the cheapest and they are not the highest. Ross and his crew are the ones you want to use when you may need service after the sale.

I have always thought that the true measure of as service company is when something goes wrong. That has happened to me and Ross and Travis were front and center to turn minor issue into a massive KUDO!!!

I live out of the Orange Beach area and have worked with P & D Marine twice the last 2 years. The first time I had a trailer breakdown traveling to the area for vacation. It was the busy summer months and they were a week out on repairs but they worked me in quickly and saved our vacation.

Recently I brought my boat in to get some routine service and an exhaust repair done while on a trip to the area. Once again, they got me in and out quickly and when they promised and kept me informed while they performed the service work by emailing me pictures.

They are first class operation and I will definitely be back again. Thanks!
