November 10th I hired the owner to cut down some spacers he said it should take a couple days. Came back in a week later after not hearing from him and his employee says they're not done yet and to check back 2-3 days. Came in Nov. 27th and that they haven't even opened the box I dropped off. They cost me 17 days and now I still have to find someone to do this job for me.

Make sure you get everything in writing. Agree upon the work and price for same up front, if not Chris the owner will attempt to hold your job hostage for more money and when you don't agree, he will delay completion or worse set your material and parts outside his door and refuse to speak with you.

If you set up an iron clad agreement he can not eaffle and jerk you around on his machine work is good.
