I had Tom come over and put up what he called the lower mortality rate Box it's 1 of 3 he makes I don't know why he just doesn't make one good Box? Anyway at 500 dollars its way too much then he asks if you want your pole painted its an extra fee ? No thanks. He actually sprays the interior of these boxes with WD40 to prevent bees from taking over the box, WD40 is horrible for owl feathers, probably decreases there chance for survival 😳. No body should be spraying oil inside a barn owl box there has got to be a better way. I just felt like he was mostly about the money. I helped him out a couple times turns out he's a pretty angry guy. So BUY A PLASTIC OWL BOX and maybe ask him to install that for you or find someone else, thats my advice 🤔. I bought a plastic box and I have a camera facing it , the owls don't go to Tom's box they spend all there time at and in the plastic one. My videos are on Instagram. David Johnson

We purchased two boxes and 5 months later we have two beautiful barn owls residing on our property. I love looking out my office window in the early morning to see the mama owl sitting in the opening. Today she has been visible all day long. Very, very cool.
