Mike is awesome. It's obvious that he is obsessed with doing a quality job. He fixed what was an out-of-code and crappy install (in every way) of my water heater. It no small task and he was absolutely thorough, and he's a cool and easy going dude. I feel incredibly confident in his work and he will be my go-to for any future work.

I have used Mike, Dan and the crew at Idyllwild Appliance and Repair a few times over the years for small repairs. This time I needed a very complex and difficult to install Water Heater Replacement and they came through with flying colors. First the Bradford White Hydro-jet Water Heater they sell is top quality and so much better than the inferior Water Heaters sold at the Big Box Stores. Secondly they did a very detailed, lengthy reconnaissance visit looking at the challenging to get to basement / under house area and taking pictures. This is something a non-local (off the Hill) company would never do. Thirdly their estimate was detailed and accurate to the penny. And Finally Mike delivered right on time and had the crew install it as promised and on time. Everyone was professional, courteous and work done with enthusiasm and humor. The price was certainly not cheap but fair considering the job was difficult and in a very tight space. Having hot water is not something you want to cut corners on.

Mike is shows up when he says he is going to, insanely knowledgeable, and honest. I was quoted 950 bucks by another appliance repair company and had Mike come over for a second opinion. He fixed my stove in less than an hour for 10% the price the “other guys” quoted me. Highly suggest using Idyllwild Appliance.

Being in the mountains of Idyllwild, it's important to be sure your heater is in tip top shape. I ordered an inspection and Dan came to my house. I always keep my filters changed and my heater clean, but it's good to get it serviced because you don't want it to fail when it's snowing!!!!

Dan went through everything and tested all the components. I asked a lot of questions and he was very informative. He really helped me understand just how important it is to keep my heater clean and filters changed. Dan was professional, polite and knowledgeable.....He did a great job and I'll be planning another forced air heater check annually! Thank you for all your help in understanding the heater system, really appreciate it! Jen helped me on the phone and she was Great! Very helpful, polite and just a nice place to do business.....LOCAL businesses need our support and when they are as personable and considerate as Idyllwild Appliance was it makes you happy to live in a small town! Mike, Idyllwild Appliance and Repair, has been amazing at the various appliance repairs at our cabin in Idyllwild-Pine Cove for the past several years. We have had Mike & his techs work on a refrigerator, a stack washer/dryer and most recently a ki range oven. All of which were successfully repaired. Mike and his staff are awesome. This was a tricky dryer fix and they really attacked the issue. Complete resolution and a very fair price. And Clay is right. Idyllwild Appliance is the best so they are very busy. So be patient. These folks love what they do and they bring a happy, humorous, professional attitude into your home. I can’t say enough nice thing about Idyllwild Appliance and Repair. Mike and his guys are great. We live in an old 1930's house here in Idyllwild. Once you start opening things up, there are always surprises. They put in a new fridge for us so when our washer/dryer broke, we called up Idyllwild Appliance. Who ever installed the old washer/dryer really botched the job and they ended up having to re-plumb everything from scratch because things were leaking under my house. What should have been a short install turned into a protracted challenge made worse by an extremely tight crawl space. One of their guys had just been in a bad car accident so they were short staffed, but Mike was determined to get the job finished for us. We really appreciated their dedication and humor in the face of adversity. They were obviously pretty worn out by the time they finished, but they got us all set up. We are definitely using them for all our future appliance needs.
