There is so much more here besides the horses. Amazing works of art all. Dinosaurs, insects, goats, Prehistoric animals of many kinds, a full size jeep, a full size depiction of wires being string for a vineyard followed by the picking of the grapes and do much more@

Galleta Meadows is a must visit experience with 130 life sized metal sculptures spread out over 1,500 acres. Some are near the road, so you can park and walk up right to them, others you can view off in the distance or travel along dirt roads to get up close. It's a fun experience for families and it's free.

As we make our way to uncharted territories, at least for us anyway, on 3-10-2018 we found the Galleta Meadows Horses. This location is inside the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. There you will find a lot of open land and few wild metal animals to admire.

meant to be walked or biked through, even though driving might be tempting, to get the full experience of these metal beauties. this art installation is on both sides of the highway. across 20 acres or so. there are more than a dozen. I allowed the walk in between them to absorb each depiction of realism, imagination, nurturing, and violence.

A great tour of interesting art in an installation that covers a mile or two of desert in Southern California... Unique pieces of metal art to see and interact with... Go and see... But be courteous to others that are viewing the art too... And tread lightly... Don't be a fool...

Wonderful Statues in a very beautiful setting, very close and accessible from the paved Road. Allows for very nice pictures from various angles against the many mountains in the Background. Worth a stop and some experimenting
