Will not bring my rig here again even though it's a pretty location. Thousand Trails is implementing a new policy of assigning sites. This would be fine if I could select, but not so much when they assign. When we arrived I asked to be at a site near my cousin. They said they were full and we could not change. THE PLACE HAD LOTS OF EMPTY SITES - wider more level, easier to back in- THEY LIED. We ended up in a busy area, not out at near the perimeter enjoying the quiet. The sites were
Steep and we Damaged our rig and truck backing in at 90 degrees.
I am so annoyed they did not respect my request to be with other family camping at the same time.
Some terrible roads- eroded, narrow, trees close to roads with obvious damage from vehicles, and tight turns.
They need a full-time bulldozer leveling sites especially after erosion of the winter and spring seasons. The staff forgot to open the lodge at hours posted when the sales person was off for two days. I had to call the ranger station and ask someone to open the lodge.

Although a beautiful environment, this park has extreme hills and extra tight spaces tucked in-between pine trees on said hills. The switch back roads leading up the mountain into the area are also extreme (elevation is 6000ft). I wouldn't advise anyone to bring their trailer up here unless your engine is in tip top shape, and you're an expert level hauler. I definitely will never be booking here again, there's much more accessible TT's elsewhere.

Great staff, very accommodating. With the new assigned sites it has been challenging, but the manager Jon is more than happy to assist. Jon, and the rest of the staff at Idyllwild, were very helpful during our stay, and made us feel very welcomed. We loved our stay here, and look forward to another visit soon.

One of our most favorite places to visit. My Granddaughter absolutely loved playing in the snow and loved how nice everyone one is.|especially the staff. ||Turns out they were short staffed. Yet Jon, Gerald, chris & Beth. Did such an amazing job. |

We went at the end of the closed season - and closed definitely means closed. But many issues with the campground in general had nothing to do with the season. It is possible this place really blooms in warmer weather, I really hope it does. It felt more like an abandoned logging camp. The general condition of the roads and sites was poor - RV sites are cramped and (at least among the two that we tried) quite unlevel. The staff we interacted with were the saving grace, very accommodating, but even with the solid amount of campers in the park, it felt pretty dreary for the price. Make sure you get solid directions to your site - there's not a lot of room for error.||||The campground needs a major facelift - like Vegas in the daytime, it's most apparent in the "winter" season.

Great location, spots are tight. Online it said there was a cafe and a market but that is not the case. Also no activities are available on the grounds. All else was wonderful though!

Our campground ranger,Rasa, was informative, helpful and kind. She followed up with us to check on our safety and comfort and made us feel so welcome. She was a great source of local area information. We had some concerns about wildlife and driving conditions and she was able to give us updates and helpful history of recent or past wildlife.

When I arrived I was greeted with smiles like always - i was informed that my cabin rental was not accessible at the time â€Ļ I want to give a huge thank you to Rasa for being so transparent with me and helpful in resolving the situation so quickly! And thank you for helping me get settled into my adorable cabin. The staff is always friendly and accommodating every time I camp here. It really makes a difference .
