When I signed up for service I got 0 indication that power outage notifications were an opt in situation so I was blindsided by the first shutoff after i moved here despite being a native in the area. I'm well aware of fire safety. To have 0 notice was bull****

Since then, I've had rocky but understandable experiences. This is a small company after all, so leniency is key. I appreciate their efforts in fighting wildfire safety and improving our infrastructure.

I suggest setting expectations appropriately and signing up for outage notifications immediately.

We moved to Anza 7 months ago and there has been a power outage every month so far, with the last two being over 24 hours. I have never lived anywhere where this occurs. We used to live in Ramona and never experienced this. This last outage two days ago was the worst. They shut the power off in the middle of the night on Monday because of wind. I went to work on Tuesday and when I got home at 4:00pm, there was no wind. They continued to keep the power off all Tuesday night and it didn't come back on until Wednesday morning at 8:00am.We had no water as the well pump can't pump with no electricity, we couldn't cook as the propane burner won't light with no electricity, and our house was freezing. This is very hard on us senior citizens. I wouldn't recommend living in Anza after experiencing all these outages. The electric here is also very expensive, probably because there is no competition and they can charge whatever they want and constantly have outages. We lived in northern Idaho and would run our heater 24/7 and the electric bill there was very low compared to Anza where I hardly ever turn it on because it is so expensive. If they are going to continue to have these outages, maybe have a rolling blackout to different areas and don't let it last long.

When are they going to put back^up power on their internet transmission towers? When power goes out at least my back^up batteries work, but useless if Anza Direct doesn't do the same! Spectrum did not have this problem either, so what's up? Thinking I should get *Star Linked instead. and quit you!

Thanks for the fast repair of a blown fuse, by a raven that unfortunately met its end. The Anza technician arrived and resolved the issue, getting our power up and running within 30 minutes. After seven years of living here, Anza Electric Co-op has always had efficient responses to large or minor outages, a very competent Agency.

Sandy, Don, and Betsy are awesome. I bought a property in Anza that had some history and needed some attention when it came to repairing the power pedestal. When you live in California, you have to deal with outages and wifi issues. However, Anza Electric Co-Op has handled all of them with urgency and kindness. Everyone on the staff truly seems to put this community first. In addition, they are one of the top supporters of the location organizations. They donate their time and money to make sure the kids and other people here are taken care of. That alone says a lot about a company.
