I had an amazing experience with Granite City! We just got our kitchen counters done and we cannot be happier. Jay was so knowledgeable and made the experience seamless and easy. NOT Impressed!!! I was referred to Granite City by every tradesman and co-worker I inquired with for recommendations during my remodel. Upon arrival, Natasha Johnson kept discouraging me from remnant pieces I was interested in for the shower (shelves) portion of my remodel. She kept stating, "Oh, that's too expensive," to every piece I picked. It was so annoying I finally stopped and stated to her, "Do I look poor to you?!?!!" Needless to say, I did not find this type of treatment appropriate, and due to this, will be choosing NOT to utilize their business, now, or in the future. Very disappointed in such a highly recommended company!!!!

It is in very poor taste and unprofessional to tell a person, as they are selecting product, "That is too Expensive." That is not transparency in pricing, that is a lack of Professionalism. Your attempt at explaining it away as a Customer Courtesy is equally deplorable!! I would recommend your sales staff keep their opinions of the cost of an item to themselves and simply provide the customer their quote, to which there can then be a further/continued discussion regarding reselection, if need be, due to pricing/budgeting concerns. Another option you may wish to explore is to discuss, from initial point of contact, what price point the customer may be looking to stay within, and direct them accordingly. The path that you are choosing to take/allow/foster within your sales team is extremely unprofessional/rude/tacky. Unfortunately, you have indeed demonstrated through both the interactions with your sales team and your response here, why you have a meager 3.3 rating on Google Reviews. Very Unfortunate.

These professionals gave my kitchen the most anticipated face-lift with absolute successes! They couldn't have done a better job! We can start out with bringing the 700lb slab up to the 2 floor without damage. The workmanship you guys have amongst yourselves, you should be proud of.

A young woman in the front office helped us find the perfect piece for a master bath countertop renovation. Justin fabricated it perfectly; John and Luke installed it on time and with real care and concern, they spent considerable time informing us on its care for longevity etc. Additionally, John is an absolute master repairing and coloring a chip repair to a chip on our kitchen counter (caused by me, Doh!). Wife and I are extremely happy with the whole project.

Granite City Alaska is hands down the the best place to go when looking for surface materials and installers around South Central Alaska. When I went in, I didn't have much of an idea of what I wanted, I just knew I was looking for something more fitting to my taste and lifestyle than solid surface.

From the moment I walked in, their incredibly helpful and friendly staff took me under their wing; they walked me through the advantages to each of the materials I was interested in, showed me some jaw-dropping materials and color options that I didn't even think would exist, and came up with a quote that was even below my budget!!

I was concerned that it might take a while through this remodel, but their scheduling and installers had it all done in no time, kept my place clean, and provided amazing service!

I could not thank Granite City Alaska enough; they are incredibly easy to work with, they managed my wants/needs/budget efficiently, and have left me wanting to work with them again on my fireplace for next winter!

Materials and workman were great. Owner Barry not at all. Mr. Know it all.We spent over $20000. on our counters. Half up front. Remainder when done.Expected. Called for balance. We expressed concerns. Was told would get to it in the future. Really busy. Moved on to new remodel. As soon as I told finish job or no check amazingly found the time to finish the project.

We cannot say enough good things about Granite City Alaska, it's owner Barry, or it's employees! We were able to choose the perfect granite right from their supply on site, saving us the HUGE worry of not knowing exactly what color it would be. The quality of the slab was amazing and everyone from Jessica at the front desk, to shop manager Justin who designed and cut the granite, Carl who did the perfect measurements, and John & his assistant who installed it were talented, professional, and meticulous about their work! We could not be happier with our new counters. We highly recommend Granite City Alaska!!

We used Granite City through Lowe's for our kitchen remodel. Everyone we worked with from the front office to the installers were courteous, helpful, and never hesitated to answer our myriad questions. They listened to all of our concerns and offered ideas and options and helped us through supply issues with Lowe's concerning our preferred and chosen sink. There was no hesitation to return the day following our installation when we called and had decided we wanted a short backsplash on the island after initially deciding no. They had kept the scraps of quartz for a couple days just in case. The necessary seam is unobtrusive and the measuring appointment was swift and efficient.
