Kelly was my Consultant and the installers were Demetri and RJ.
What a wonderful experience with my team! Kelly is personable and knows her stuff! She takes her time designing your space and she doesn't rush, explaining the process and checking in often to answer questions. She will work hard, within your budget, to create your dream closet.

Installer Demetri did an excellent job and went above my expectations. He is professional, kind, and a thorough technician. RJ came later (after another job) and he installed my laundry room cabinets. Same accolades to him! They left my house clean and neat and made certain all necessary touch ups were done.

I am grateful to Kelly, Demetri, RJ and to Closet by Design for a wonderful experience.

From the Consult (Debi) to the Install (RJ), the process was smooth and stress-free. Debi listened to what I wanted, and RJ brought the design to life. My new closet looks exceptional and blends in so well with the rest of the house. Very professional team, and I will definitely work with them to complete my pantry and guest rooms’ closets. I am beyond satisfied!

I contacted 4 different closet companies to build out our new lakehouse master closet. Originally the builder was going to do it, but we were offered a credit for him not doing it, and we chose to go with a professional closet design. (Interestingly enough, I had already designed the closet and my design was just barely tweaked from the final product.) The 4 proposals were all over the place. From a low of $4000 for a Home Depot looking closet, to $20,000 for a custom cabinet designer's full buildout using premium wood and handpainting it all. In the end, it came down to California Closets and Closets by Design. CC came in 40% higher for pretty much the same end product, so we went with Closets by Design and were happy we did. While they aren't as high tech with their sales pitch, in the end, they offered a premium product for a better price. And their installers were courteous and did a great job and finished it in one day, rather than the proposed two. (They stayed until 8:30pm) I would highly recommend Closets by Design for your next custom closet. Picture attached. (the drawer handles were included, but we wanted to purchase our own to match the permanent chest that had already been built in the center of the closet)

I had a great experience with Closets by Design-Central Alabama. Its been 1 week since my install and this is what i have so far.
It was an easy process, we went over my design several times to make sure everything was the way I wanted. Pricing wasn't bad at. I had gotten other estimates and theirs was by far more reasonable than others with a warranty.
Only 3 things that were less liked by me:
1. The arrival time was between 10 and 12, my installer didn't arrive till almost 1pm. However, he did call and communicate that with me and he worked very hard the whole time here. It was just a school night and he didn't finish till 9:30pm which is past the time i shut my house down during the week. (small kids)
2. The shelves are not flush with the cabinets. I'm sure i can call them as they offer a 7 year warranty, i just haven't had time yet. (only installed a week ago)They don't stick out badly, it just a little over a fingernail in length. There is a little nick on one of the cabinet doors. I can tell that it was touched up but i still see it. Also inside the cabinet is a 2 nicks on my wall as i didn't get backs installed due to the cabinets being the same color as walls. (save money:))
Other than those 3 things everything was and has been great so far.
If it is any help, I am VERY OCD and worked at a cabinet company years ago so the things that i see and notice is something you would probably never see.

Our designer did a fabulous job working with us to redesign our postage-sized closet with a slanted ceiling to help us mazimize the space and stay within a reasonable budget. She designed around a home-built laundry hamper, that is smaller than a store-bought size so we could continuing rolling it to the washer. She also recommended a smaller, compact pant hanger that saved us space. Ultimately, she helped us get more clothes in the closet, so that we reclaimed another closet we stored off-season clothes in.
The workman was very professional, and respectful of our property, and finished up on time, while going the extra mile to caulk and touch up wall paint. The material is quality board, with nice finishing trim, and very well secured to the wall. The process is easy--get the space empty, let them work, pay the bill, and refill.
It takes time to decide exactly how to utilize new space; whether to hang or fold clothes, add hanging shoe bags, which we did, and to store long-sleeved and short-sleeved tops separately, as well as by color in each section. So we're still enjoying the process and are very grateful that we chose to give ourselves this as a Christmas present.

Definitely love my closet by design!!!!!! I am so excited that I finally have my closet design to fit all my needs! From start to finish this was such an easy process! My designer was super nice and she walk through and explained every thing to me and asked me questions to see exact how my closet could be designed to fit my needs. RJ was my installer and he actually came earlier and got straight to work. He went over my design with me and I was able to check everything and make adjustments to certain quirks as needed!!!! I love my closet and I was too ready to fill it with me and my husbands clothes

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Closets by Design! My husband surprised me with an early Christmas present by turning one of our bedrooms into a special walk-in closet, and it was all done in collaboration with Closets by Design.
From start to finish, everything was seamless. John, the installer, was fantastic. He provided great customer service and he was so friendly. His attention to detail and craftsmanship were top-notch. He truly brought the vision to life and made the entire process enjoyable.
