This was the worst meat I have ever had process. I had never heard of a processor smoking the meat before but I took a chance because he said he had been doing this for over 20 years. I ordered the Cajun seasoning in my meat. When I received the meat it did have a deep smoke smell but the meat tastes just like salt. I don't know if he mixed up his seasons and mistake the salt for Cajun seasoning but it seems a little suspect that when I call him to talk about the meat he would not answer text or phone calls. Even when I arrived at the place to drop off the meat his hands were dirty from working on something I assumed. But when I came back to pick up my meat his hands were still dirty with the same oil dirt and grit. I would advise no one to even drive up to this place. This so-called company just ruined all of my meat for deer season. Even after cooking this meat I noticed that the meat didn't have any fat in the meat and he gave me back the same amount of meat that I gave him so where is the fat added.

I stopped by a few years ago to get put on the list so that if someone brought in a deer but didn't pay the processing fee, I could pay it and pick it up. A common practice. So, I show up and ask about the lists day and there is no list. Instead they tried to sell me each cut individually. I quickly informed him that it is illegal to sell meat from wild animals. You can charge a processing fee but that's it. Not an ethical business in my opinion.

The guys over at Causey’s will get you right. Myron, Vince, and the other guys are all helpful and pleasant to talk with. Love that everything is vacuum sealed. Personally I usually just get standard cut because some of the extras are a little pricey, but you’ll have that most places. I do wish they took a little of the price off for bringing your deer gutted, even if it’s only $10. Overall, great people and great service. Would recommend to anyone.

These guys are great. We drive from Texas twice a year just to hunt these piney woods and I am glad we found these guys to process our deers. Just got some summer sausage from them and it was awesome. These guys are extremely fair and know what there doing!

Please, please stay away from this deer processing place. They don't give you the meet that you bring in. I was given old meat from months ago. The meat was old and spoiled. The summer sausage tasted freezer burnt. When I called to talk to someone, the lady asked me to bring the meat in. When I did, she made up a story saying the meat wasnt hers. They are not friendly AT ALL. Do yourself a favor and stay away. You will not get your deer meat you brought in and the meat they give you, will be old.

Earlier in the month I had one processed at my normal place.
140 pound deer- $115 - 45 pounds of meat.
$2.55 per lb

I called to buy a deer not picked up. He charged 85.00 and he only gave 1 brown paper bag of deer meat. Ripoff. Will never buy here again or take a deer to be processed here.
