Fpl, replaced a transformer in my neighbors back yard. They had to go thru my yard to get to it, And by going thru my back yard they broke the water line to my home. I had to pay to get it fixed. And I have tried to put a claim in to them for the damage to my water line, impossible, all automated, I have to lie and say my power is out to get a real.person, then they transfer me and put me on hold forever, horrible customer service. They make it impossible to file a claim for damage they did to your property

I am posting this review/complaint in response to damage FPL did to my and my neighbor’s property after the hurricane. One of their large trucks drove down our side yard to replace a rear power pole and rutted up the yard severely causing several thousand dollars worth of grading and sod damage. Since then I have spent several hours calling and following up with the FPL claims department to no avail. I have only spoken to them once, at which time David Gonzalez gave me a claim number (90023) and requested I submit two estimates to repair the damage, which I did. That was a month ago and I have received no confirmation or return phone call. You can't reach someone when you call the claims department and the only way to get a FPL rep on the phone is to go through the call center for power issues. I am extremely frustrated with the situation and FPL's assumption that they can damage personal property with impunity. At this point it seems the only option I have is to go through small claims or get an attorney.

They restored power to my block but haven't connected my mast to the pole. I've called multiple times to let them know my wife has health issues, we have downed wires, and we really need it connected. Last time I called and the reason for this review was that I was told "we're not a priority" and can't give any ETA on when we'd even get serviced. Unfortunately FPL only cares about their shareholders and not at all about their customers. We'll see how their shareholders feel when FPL isn't the only option and customers can switch.

Seriously, you are burying power lines in my neighborhood and I woke up to my backyard dug up by your contractors, my Internet cable to the house cut (I work from home), and my dog containment system torn in two places on either side of my yard. I've been calling, redirected, forward to cell phone voicemails, given other numbers and looked for support online for the last two hours and still have not spoken to anyone. Your local number goes to voicemails, The contractor you are using, call their Corp. number and it rings a few times and then goes to a busy signal. Having FPL is like living off the grid while still paying for the grid.
