The PSC has the authority to regulate rates and services of private investor-owned electric, natural gas, telephone, water, and wastewater utilities in Florida. It also oversees the state's municipal and cooperative electric utilities. The commission is composed of five members appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Senate.

In addition to regulating utilities, the PSC also promotes energy conservation and consumer education. It works to ensure that utilities provide reliable service to customers and that rates are fair and reasonable. The PSC also investigates complaints from customers about utility services and works to resolve these issues.

With its focus on public service, the Florida Public Service Commission plays a vital role in ensuring that the state's utility customers receive the services they need at affordable prices. Its efforts to regulate the industry and promote energy conservation benefit both consumers and utilities alike.

At no point has this organization ever helped me with my water utilities fraudulent billing. I'm still getting billed at a home that has been demolished? I reported them when I was living there, after I moved, and they're still illegally sending me bills for a home that isn't even there anymore? No real justice or investigating goes on with these people. Report them to legislation! I am 🙂

More of the same BS of not looking out for the citizens of Florida.
Allowed Duke Energy to raise rates and to screw people with solar panels on their roofs. If our current solar/net metering contract is the best you could get for us- your negotiating skills suck. Just more of the same old cronyism. I put solar on my roof to help reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and you allow Duke Energy to screw and punish its customers who do this.

This commission is a joke. The only thing they care about is being able to keep their positions and approve consumer unfriendly policies. Want a rate increase for hard pressed Floridians? NO PROBLEM! Citizens can substitute needed medications and food for higher energy prices? Want to build a solar grid? Sure! We'll help you build that off the backs of Florida citizens. You want to harden your electrical infrastructure that you should have been doing for the past 50 years? No problem and we'll make citizens pay even more for mismanagement.

So many are drowning in energy bill cost. My bill from AUG 22 to AUG 23 increased by 64.41%. My bill when I was stationed in CA was cheaper!! FPSC approving FPL to raise rates so drastically is killing us.

We produce more energy than we use monthly our bill has been the minimum connection fee of $ 9.99/monthly. for the last few years. Now the new minimum charge is $ 29.90, monthly. That's a 200% increase without letting customer's know.

On April 1st ,2021 there was a meeting to Raise Fuel Costs to the Consumers of FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT. This Bussness sold By Henry Flagler was to provide Electric Service for FLORIDA Resedents. As it stands now we are funding a ZERO DEBIT Bussness, Fuel Costs, Infostructur repairs And! Retirement Funds. Do You See A Problem with this? I do. Non Fuel Fee's fund $30 thousand yearly retirement Funds. This is a criminal misrepresentation of business practices by your Elected Officer's in The FLORIDA SENATE. We Are Never Briefed and or informed about These Meetings and Big Power funds the Political Party's for approvals. You owe US interest on are funding FOR YOUR OPERATIONS.

Thanks for voting to double and triple Florida residents power bills for the companies cost. Glad I could provide for your already hugely successful business with my piddly diddly retail job that is barely paying the mortgage. Special characters and hand gestures for all of you.

The entire board of the FPSC should be terminated. The fraudulent bussiness practices and mismanagement has to come to an end.
