On vacation for two weeks thought it would be nice to have a ebike for five days. So glad I rented from them ..the first bike had a flat first time I rode it and i was stranded a mile from home they immediately came out with a new bike. The bike was in great condition had a throttle if I got tired peddling, and was so convenient not having to worry about parking, especially along the beach.. The staff is very kind and they have a cute Chihuahua.. I’ll definitely be renting again from them my next trip to the area.

This is the best bike shop in Fort Lauderdale hands-down. Great sales staff and repair technician that are very friendly and knowledgeable. I bought my first electric bike here and Jose went above and beyond in customer service. I highly recommend you check out this hidden gem.

Went in to have my hydraulic brakes fixed and they really did a good job.
I was impressed by the neatness of the place and the friendly professionalism of the guys.
After going to a couple of local wannabes, I'm glad there's this place around for electric bikes!

E-bikes are great until they break. I own two of them, one for me and one for my wife. Like so many others, when Covid hit we wanted something fun to do outside, together. For 18 months, we took our foldable, fat tire ebikes everywhere, our favorite places being sunrise along Daytona Beach, and the nature trails at Jonathan Dickinson State Park.

But then, last January, we rode through some high water along the Lake Trail near Flagler Museum in Palm Beach County, and they both shorted out. Kaput. No power.

We were devastated. Customer Service at Ecotric in California couldn't help. My local bike store where I get my road bike and mountain bike serviced wouldn't touch them. So they sat in the garage for 11 months unused. I secretly hoped maybe they just needed to dry out and would start eventually. Wrong.

It wasn't until I found Big Cat Premium Bicycles in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea that I found a competent (they really know their stuff) sales and repair shop that could fix and service both ebikes. The reviews online were great, and since they were open on Sundays (the only day I had available), I gave them a shot.

I'm glad I did. It turns out one bike needed a new controller. The general manager showed me the original one. It was totally corroded. He installed a new one with a lot more torque, which is great for a big guy like me. The other bike had some wiring harness issues. They both work great now. I am so happy to have salvaged my considerable investment in those two ebikes for only $300.

The store is new, one year old. Jose Torres runs it. His partner has another location in Long Island, NY. The shop is very clean and well stocked with a wide selection of really cool ebikes to fit anyone.

They say a good mechanic is worth his weight in gold. That's pretty much how I feel about Big Cat. The only slight negative I can mention is that I wish I had a bit more communication from the guys at the store during the 12 days my bikes were in the shop. I've been in the customer service business for 40 years. I really appreciate it when I don't have to make repeated phone calls for updates.

i originally had a great experience. they changed a motor for my dual motor aniioki a9 great job and so far no issues. but i needed a tire changed on my nephews ebike and i was offered a used tire for 60 bucks and a labor charge of a 100! all in all 180 befire a tip. So i buy 2 tires and tubes for 67 bucks and hav e my nephews dad change it out for him. These guys are good but they do have a break down in service, customer service. I was so happy to have someone near by but more $ then I want to spend for pretty str8 forward fixes! In a nut 6 out of 10 is my rating. Again a good shop but maybe stick to your labor costs posting!

Big Cat staff and owner went above and beyond to accommodate my friend and I for a day of electric biking. The bikes were in excellent condition and we felt very safe in them with the included helmet
If you want the best service go to Big Cat. 10 /10 for us

I bought my BIG CAT E-Bike from Jose on June 13. I trusted this guy, paying him cash for the entire package, which included a better, long-lasting battery. The extra cost of the battery was $350 which Jose gladly collected.
It’s Sept 2, 2024 today and I still haven’t received it. Jose is great at delivering one thing: lip service. The situation is ridiculous, how he’s treating me. Never answers my e-nails, nor texts. Very unprofessional.
I worked retail for 35 years and would never dream of misleading someone for almost 3 months, constantly telling them next week, next week…
Do NOT come here for anything unless he gives you what you pay for at that moment.

Called the shop on Friday asking if they would pick up my bike to repair a flat since I don't have a car big enough to transport it and I live less than 3 miles away. The shop said no problem, they would pick it up on Saturday. Waited all day Saturday for a call, never received one, so I called at the end of the day and they said they forgot and would pick it up Sunday. Totally fine with me. Waited all day Sunday for a call and never received one.

I don't care if you don't want to pick up my bike, as I understand that's probably not a service you usually provide and you're busy. But don't tell me you're going to pick it up then never call me, wasting both Saturday and Sunday of my weekend because I sat at home all day waiting for you.
