I recently paid a visit to the Coral Springs Museum of Art, and while my initial excitement was met with a slight disappointment, I'm eager to share my experience to help others not make the same mistake.
Upon arriving, the captivating allure of the grounds and the captivating outdoor artwork immediately drew me in, setting the stage for what promises to be an enriching and delightful art experience. 🎨🏛️🌟
However, once I reached the entrance window, I discovered a sign indicating that access is temporarily closed during exhibit changes. While I initially assumed the museum was always accessible, I learned that occasional closures do occur. While I wish this information had been posted on Google maps, staying museum is closed on said dates, I believe my experience can serve as a helpful heads-up for others.
So, from my experience, I'd say it's advisable to make a quick call ahead of time to ensure that there's an ongoing exhibit to explore. Despite this minor setback, I'm genuinely looking forward to my next visit. The anticipation only adds to my eagerness to explore the museum's diverse and captivating exhibits. 🎨🏛️

The Coral Springs Museum of Art is a fantastic place to visit. The exhibitions are always well-curated and engaging, making it a great space for art lovers. I was fortunate to take classes there back in 2009 or 2010, and it was a wonderful experience that deepened my appreciation for art. Beyond the exhibitions, the museum plays a vital role in the community, providing a welcoming space for artists and visitors alike. It’s truly a gem in Coral Springs!

I wanted to check out the new Kandy G.Lopez exhibit (through Jan 2024) so I popped in on a Tuesday afternoon. The employee, or volunteer, who greeted me was very friendly and informative, his passion for the museum was obvious.

There are a few exhibit areas and the main area as you enter the museum is very open.

I like how all the pieces are labeled with a description.

There is a peace garden you can stroll through outside. This is a nice local gem that is free to visit. It is located with the Coral Springs Center for the Arts which hosts cover bands, comedians and other shows throughout the year. There is plenty of free parking and the center is located adjacent to Mullins Park.

Interesting museum. First of all admission is free. It's small and easy to get around. Clean and open, I enjoyed the current exhibition of yarn painting. I took my 9 year old along and she enjoyed it also. There is a room off the main exhibit hall designed for little ones to play and draw etc. There is also a gift shop with all handmade items. The attendant was helpful and friendly. This museum is accessible by public transportation if you do not drive. There is also a big park nearby to hang if you have the time. Overall it was a good experience. I will go again.

I took a breather from the sweltering summer warmth by spending a few hours here with my daughter. The exhibits are impressive. It is definitely worth exploring, irrespective of whether you're accompanied by children or not.
