I purchased a boat in February 2025 from the Lake Placid location. I worked with Kyle Reagan and Cliff Jackson. Kyle was very helpful and attentive. He also performed a sea trial with me as well. I had a lighting issue with the trailer after business hours and Kyle stayed with me even volunteered to drive to Tractor Supply to pick up a new wiring harness. Robert Brown also stayed after hours just to make sure all my lights worked properly. A huge THANK YOU to Robbert! It was a nice purchase experience and I would not hesitate to do more business in the future.

The only reason that I did not give them a one, is the fact that they do have a very nice inventory. There are a lot of boats to choose from, and a very large yard. Also, it is mostly my fault for falling for what I did. I purchased a used boat, and paid what I later found out was 60 to 70% over fair market value. I also purchased a premium cleaning and protection plan. Which did not even get the boat clean. They charged me over $1500 for prep and maintenance inspection. When I got home, I noticed that the tires looked a little low, so I checked the pressures. There were 18 psi in both tires. First trip out, the tachometer quit working. The trolling motor had a short in the harness, and would only work sporadically if on setting four or five. Again, I will say they do have a very nice inventory and a lot to choose from. But they are extremely overpriced, and their maintenance and inspections are worthless.

I recently entrusted my boat for the consignment service with high hopes of a smooth and professional experience, but it was far from it. Communication was terrible, felt completely in the dark and when I did reach out the response was slow and vague.

The staff seemed unorganized and Cliff the salesman in charge was sleezy always trying to low ball the sale. Ultimately I did sell my boat but to do the process all over again I would’ve sold it my self.

On top off all this, the boat was sold and I was never informed when I would receive my money for the sale. I went 3 different times to get my check all for them to say we mail it… so they got paid right away and I had to wait and go get my money.

Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I recently purchased a Stingray Deck Boat from boaters world. I took possession only a few days ago. The experience could not have been better. Cliff my sales guy was right there every step of the way. Everyone from Dean the GM to Roman and Anthony were awesome. A special thanks to Gino who is a super pro. These guys truly are the real deal. Very nice variety of boats to choose from. That was definitely not the issue. The issue was the deal that I got. The 2018 17-ft scout was listed for $25,977. I gave them a $5,000 down payment and then realized after the downpayment I was financing $20,000 for 10 years at 7.4%. By the time I get done with the payments I could have bought a brand new scout for the price. The only way I will come out with a decent deal is if I pay the boat off in 5 years instead of 10. It's a shame that dealerships are in a business to take people's money and to get as much money as they possibly can. They can make you think they're giving you a good deal. This was definitely not a good deal for me and I am the only person to blame. What a s***** learning experience

Reached out about a boat we saw advertised on social media and was connected with Kyle who was very personable and helpful when we got to the store. We also we connected with Cliff from sales they were very accommodating to us having our kids with us and made sure the boat was in perfect working order as it was a used boat made sure we were comfortable with the water test and showed us the compression test as well without hesitation

Robert in sales was fantastic to deal with! Prompt and clear communication was critical because we were buying from another state and needed to arrange flight down and truck rental to drive back. The boat was fairly priced and represented honestly by photos on their website.

Visited Boaters World seeking a boat. Cliff the salesman (there are 2 Cliffs) reached out to us upon our arrival. Listened to our desires and showed us boates meeting our expectations. The prices were fair and I felt he had our interest in mind with respect. No high pressure sales tactics which was appreciated but a genuine interest in helping and meeting our expectations. Due to unanticipated circumstances we did not purchase the boat, but hopefully when timing is better, I will return and hopefully work with Cliff again.
