Assembly Park's board doesn't operate in tandem with the actual homeowners. They spend money allocated to make the park better on weird projects that are either unsuccessful (the brick roads that are a mess after only a few years) or projects that only benefit the board members directly (circulating pumps for the front of their piers...again taken from their fellow taxpayers). Kids get wasted in the middle of the park on weekends until the cops come (not often because all the parents are in on it), fights breaking out with neighbors, strangers stumbling around wasted in people's yards, etc. A pretty hostile place, even with the inclusion of the gross looking gingerbread fun houses that people have decided to build in place of once great looking houses. A great place to live if you have all of the money and none of the taste. Otherwise just live anywhere else on the lake.

Absolutely charming! Kinda sad they let big houses in. Takes away from the ambiance...but I loved the brick streets and parks. Didn't find the beach. Will continue to watch for properties coming on the market.

a group of nasty people have taken over the leadership of this association! The poor decisions of a few have destroyed the amazing place this used to be and have cost the homeowners (many of them my friends) tens of thousands if not more.. they need to get rid of the less than honest and small minded (5th grade mentality) board members, restore fiscal transparency and get rid of a lot of oppressive rules those fossils think are for the good of the order (of course this is just an opinion) Unfortunately I wasn't a childhood friend with any of the board members nor part of their click so that made me a person they wanted to lie about and kick around like many others. Hopefully the tide will change soon and those current board members will soon be forced to hang their heads in shame for how they've behaved for the remainder of time they own a home in there!

Port a jons are a disgrace. You would think after charging $21.25 to launch your boat they would have at least serviced this things. Probably haven't been serviced in a year.

What a cool subdivision on Lake Delavan. A community that looks out for each other. It has everything from a private beach, boat launch, parks, and relaxed living!
