Let’s start saying that Joe and the crew at Tiny Camper are now good friends of mine. Started talking to Joe at one of the Jeep Invasion in Tennessee. Then we started planning getting 4 Tiny camper’s at once for me and my friends. Multiple times over the phone talking about specs on the new build. And the time came to pick them up. Immediately we became part of the family. Joe not only built trailers : he’s building a community big happy campers. Since then we have camped together on multiple occasions and always is a good time guaranteed.
Now we are planning on upgrading to a bigger and better Kong Offroad.
Like he said :Camp on.
Very lucky to have them relatively close home and call him Friend.

I bought my Tiny Camper in 2022; The camper was custom made according to my specifications, to be used when volunteering with the FL Cajun Navy Search and Rescue operations. After Hurricane Helene in September 2024, I loaded my Tiny Camper with all the equipment I could need to assist in any situation... and it performed flawlessly. I was able to have a comfortable place to sleep while assisting less fortunate people anyway I could.

I also like to add that since I got this camper, it has been stored in the backyard of my house, open to the element for over 2 years... and not even a drop of water has got inside the cabin.

First off I want to say we bought this camper in December 2024, drove across the country in January, and have now been on the road full time for about two weeks. We wanted to wait until we were able to use it to its full extent to leave a review.

There is nothing structurally wrong with the camper - doesn’t leak, and is a place to sleep.

We got a VERY basic 4x8 kong. Nothing fancy and not any crazy add-ons. Joe was communicative and professional during the ordering process.

For some backstory, we are traveling full time in this camper and two weeks before we left our home state we receive the camper and the cabin keys are missing. We contacted Joe about this and we communicated about where they could be (he believed the delivery vendor misplaced them). I triple checked the 4x8 camper - no keys. Instead of just sending
us keys we were sent entirely new lock mechanisms (door handles and all) to install ourselves on the door - which is pretty easy task so no big deal. Except, the door handles that came with the camper were metal and what we were sent as a replacement was cheap plastic. We go to install the door handles and one side would not install correctly. Find out it’s because the striker plate was not sitting flat because there were multiple holes drilled into the camper. I sent Joe a picture and was informed that this part comes assembled to him - so he was (I assume) unaware. We contact Joe about just sending us the correct keys (as this was the logical solution) which eventually did get solved after the new set of keys was lost by UPS.

When we received the camper we also had a spare tire - which did come.. without a rim. We knew it was being sent like this - however, we had to call Joe to get him to mail the rim in time for us to move out of the state. We asked Joe about balancing the spare tire and we were told it didn’t need to be balanced. However, after some reading and talking to family we are most definitely under the impression the spare absolutely needs to be balanced, which we went and got done after we put it on the rim.

Again we have now been on the road two weeks, before this the camper was in a climate controlled storage unit from January-end of February. The seals on the corners of the galley have cracked wide open. No leaksand really not an issue so far (as we’ve only been in the desert), just disappointing.

There are several things that just don’t make any sense as to why they were built the way they were built. You can customize this camper to fit your needs and after a few trips to the hardware store it is starting to feel like home.

Truthfully, if we were to do it again we would drop the money on a reputable brand. It’s not worth the hassle of poor logic and assembly to save the money. When it came down to communication after the camper was received, it just wasn’t efficient. I’m not sure if it’s just man to woman communication or something else. While he is definitely well-intentioned, the process of being able to get on the road was exhausting.

I want to reiterate Joe (and his wife) worked to correct any issue we had. They were respectful and are clearly passionate about their business.

Received our camper in September 2022 and have taken it out twice since for a long camping getaway! Seems built to last, tows like a dream and cozy as ever. We are in love!
