This hotel was perfect for my 4 year old and I. We did not need anything fancy! Pool and beach were a very close walk from our room, free parking and it was clean & quiet. We found this hotel too late and are devastated that it is closing. We would have come to the place many times for a quick and affordable getaway.

Fantastic stay here. People at reception nice, looks sketchy on the outside but very nice inside rooms. Everything works perfectly fine and beds are comfortable. Excellent location with a beautiful beach right behind the resort only a 1 minute walk. Pool is clean. While me and my family were gone, service came in and cleaned around, and made the beds. Fantastic stay here at Silver Sands.

The location is excellent. The price is fair but you get what you pay for. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and the rooms are very outdated. There are no grills if you want to cook your own food, nor will they allow you to use your own. They have laundry facilities but cannot sell you change. There is no ice machine. Like I said earlier, you get what you pay for.

It’s over guys! Spoke to Juan the property is sold will be demolished and they are sadly building condos in this amazing piece of paradise!|So many years of great beach, wonderful staff and such an amazing getaway like you are not in Florida whatsoever, but only somewhere in the Caribbean ! I could see why Richard Nixon had a home in Key Biscayne!

Just about ok if you can't find anything else, the room was not clean, air conditioner did not cool properly, we got in at midnight and left at 6am so we didn't complaint as we just needed to rest, but if it were multiple days I would not have stay there. The staff were great.

A well worn hotel, but worth it. This hotel is definitely a throw back to old style FL. Rooms are large, with 2 beds (sized larger than a full, but smaller than a queen) and 1 bath with shower in most rooms. A good size kitchen with sink, microwave, toaster, coffe maker, fridge and freezer. A smattering of plates, cups, glasses, silverware and other basic necessities make it easy to bring your own breakfast and lunch supplies. Beds are firm, but okay. The large pool is heated, and has a shower and foot wash spigot. 3 of the rooms have their own small porch with table and chairs right on the beach, while the other half have either parking lot or pool views.
Dated and worn, but at a fraction of the cost of most other hotels in the area it makes this a good choice.

Real, old school Florida style inn, directly on the beach. Not many of these type of places left and they should be cherished. Not luxury accommodations but if you have right sized expectations it’s an amazing value. Rooms are basic but clean and do have a kitchenette with coffee maker, sink, mini fridge, microwave, some basic dinnerware/ glasses etc. also a counter/bar with counter space. Bed/pillows/bedding adequate. Quiet area with great restaurants and shops. The clerk Tony was definitely a highlight of our trip. Definitely want to come stay here again as the location and value is hard to beat.

It's been wonderful coming here over the last 4 years...it was a special place and will be missed by many, many others who visited this special place!
