Key Colony HOA
The Key Colony residential complex is a secured and gated community of four independently operated condo towers located beach front facing the Atlantic Ocean on Key Biscayne, Florida. Key Colony's four communitiesโ€™ were built between end of 1970โ€™s and early 1980โ€™s including The Tidemark (Key Colony I), The Oceansound (Key Colony II), The Emerald Bay (Key Colony III) and The Botanica (Key Colony IV). Consisting of 1179 total condo units, the community features many resort style amenities such as a private beach, tennis courts and swimming and recreation pools. Key Colony sits on more than 42 acres of landscaping. Key Colony's unique pyramid styled architecture and landscape design helps blend its ocean front location with its expansive tropical flora. Developer Fritz Scharenberg transformed this exquisite land into one of Key Biscayne's most recognized real estate landmarks.

Terrible people with entitled attitudes. They won't do anything about the abysmal service at the front gate. I've lived on this island since 1998 and have never experienced such terrible traffic just to go inside of Key Colony. They don't care about the complaints at all but they are quick to put tow stickers on your windows. They refuse to speak with you if you want to complain. Cars speed inside, kids on golf carts drive fast inside the garages. There's a lack of caring for the place they are supposedly in charge of.

Stayed a week and loved the location, the stunning gardens around the property (which made the longish walk to the beach absolutely enjoyable), and the pools. The beach was perfect, mostly calm water and actually decent for snorkeling if you go out a bit. We saw a nurse shark, barracuda, stingray, and lots of smaller fish. The unit we happened to rent needed some updates but served its purpose. Also the security office was too lazy to issue us a week pass so the front gate officials had to update our pass every day, even if we did not leave but they were great about doing that. The island itself was packed with people and golf carts were everywhere. Was a lovely stay.

Nice place and the staff was friendly...some of the residents however...not so nice, no manners and a sense of entitlement.
