I purchased Harmar CSL 500 model in black. The only nice thing I can say about it is I like the color. Purchased 8/8/24. About a week or so after the purchase is when all the trouble began. Started out small issues. I’ve had service call after service call. The mobility company has been amazing. The stairlift company not so much. The the emergency brake kept engaging and could not be fixed by the mobility company. Now my husband was without the lift. This happened on a Friday and on Monday at 3 a m, I needed to get him to the hospital with no way of getting him down all the steps. So with no option, I call the squad to help. This is not what I consider a “peace of mind”stairlift. I tried contacting the CEO and Brian via voice mail but to no avail. Shouldn’t be surprised. 6 days later brought my husband back and stairlift is still out of order.

We love this chair lift! My husband had knee surgery, it didn't turn out as hoped. We started looking for a one level house; expensive move, packing was suggested by real estate person, wow for work. Then I found a book on lifts. This book went through everything on a lift to watch for, the good and the bad. Harmar was listed with the top lines. We love it. Easy to install, but the instructions could certainly be improved. Rides smooth. Easy to operate. Clean and efficient track. I would certainly recommend this wonderful chair lift for anyone needing a lift.

Harmar Lifts is a wonderful company that stands behind their products. The staff at Harmar replaced broken parts on our lift after a company took advantage of us and sold us a damaged lift. We will always be glad that we purchased a Harmar Lift and will recommend them to everyone.

I need a part for a mobility scooter lift. I realize I need to order it from one of your dealers but needed help to identify the one I have because there is no model number that I can find. I was hoping to get the model number by providing the serial number. A man named Tom tried to help but transfered my call to a different person that might be able to get me a part number. The women I spoke with was not helpful and kept reminding me I would have to go through a dealer to buy a part. All I asked for was help to identify my lift so I could go through my local dealer to order the part. Next thing I know, she hung up on me! Not good customer service!

Since this purchase less than a year ago I have had to have it replaced due to the pin kept falling off that holds the spool. During the time it was coming out repeatably the strap came out while driving and the end of the strap beat against the tail gate scratching it up and Harmar did nothing about fixing my tail gate. Also the buckles have quit working by not wanting to release and they would not replace them. The cover that goes over the motor has blown off going down the road and was lost, the screw stayed on , it just broke loose. They would not replace and a new win cost $75. Nothing but trouble since I bought this.

I was very pleased with the technician who did the instillation to my husband’s chair lift on our RV. He saw that the lift was not the right one for the vehicle and informed the company what was wrong. He even went to our home address and put in the right one and he made sure that it safe to go on the road trip. We’re happy camper!

Great lift, my only complaint is the supplied wiring setup. I own a gen 5 Ram 1500 DT with a tow package and a 4 and 7 pin wiring connector. On the Ram, the 7 pin connector is hot without the ignition being on. I just put a round 7 pin connector on the preinstalled lift harness, and plugged it in. No crawling under the vehicle and wiring the battery. If I ever trade my vehicle, there is nothing to unwire. Most late model vehicle with a tow package have the 7 pin connector installed. I do not know if all are hot all the time or if the ignition must be on. Easy check with a test light. I would recommend that Harmar made the 7 pin connector an option for the long battery harness. It is a lot cheaper and makes it truly a customer installation saving the customer a lot of money.
